  This was a fun stop on old Route 66. Our server Linda was awesome and gave our pup Kingsford a little piece of bacon! The patio is huge and definitely dog friendly.

  Great meal on a covered patio!

  second time to Amarillo, second time to Smokey Joe’s. the patio is comfortable and large (covered with picnic table) and the food and service is excellent

  Good Stop!

  Driving through Amarillo with our pup and stopped for lunch at Smokey Joes. the burgers and fries were hot and fresh and the beer was cold. Our dog enjoyed some cold water and the shade and fans on the covered patio. would stop again.

  So So Visit. Better on Previous Trip

  No real acknowledgement of our pup or offer to bring a water bowl even though it was 95 degrees. Food was ok, but left off the bacon on hamburger that was meant for the dog. Had to ask.

  Friendly staff and locals

  We stopped here for lunch and had delicious burgers (dog and human) and onion rings, a nice green salad and cold beer. We were late enough in the afternoon that some locals were out after work and sat at the next table. Everyone incredibly friendly and easy going, happy to chat with us and say hello the dog. If we had time we'd have stayed for the live music!

  The best in Amarillo!

  Passing through with the pups, and this place was the best! Super dog friendly! Our waitress Karli brought water, bacon, and lots of special attention! Our pups couldn’t get enough. Not to mention the food came out quick and was absolutely delicious! would recommend to anyone passing through with doggies.

  Classic BBQ stop along our Route 66 Journey

  Great Texas BBQ in Amarillo at Smokey Joe's. Dog got plenty of water and we had plenty of Lone Stars !!

  Great lunch spot with the dog

  Happy to find this place with an outdoor patio and even happier looking it up at BringFido and seeing all the great reviews. Service was great and food was good. Despite being on Route 66 we did not see any cars cruising, just a couple of motorcycles

  food wasn’t anything too special but they are very dog friendly! brought out a bowl of water for him and gave lots of pets!

  Basically kind of a biker bar, but for sure interesting! The food was delish and the wait staff so nice. They brought our pup a bowl of water and gave her loves. This is on Route 66 so cool!

  Great Biker-ish Lunch Spot

  Nice covered patio. Waitresses were super friendly towards my chocolate lab. There was another dog on the patio as well. Cute area of town with antique shops. Had a chicken salad and a couple beers.

  My kinda joint!

  If u are not the 5 star crowd this is your place. Beers good, burgers even better. Nice music from a local artist! Enjoyed our time and our pup was very welcomed on the patio. Definitely my kind of place.

  Great Place With Great Food!

  We stayed in Amarillo for a month and visited this place on our last day and wish we had come more during our stay. The food was amazing and the cobbler was a definite must! They had water bowl ready for Murphy and a great covered patio for us to enjoy the day under. Definitely a revisit is in order.

  Perfect Stop On Route 66

  We were so happy to find this great spot. The patio was large and had plenty of seating. Inside there was live music. Our waitress loved on our Arlo and got him a bowl of water right away. We both ordered the famous Chicken Fried Steak and it didn’t disappoint! Today is St Patrick’s Day, and we enjoyed green beer as well!! If you are in Amarillo with your fur child(ren) be sure to stop!!

  Just awesome

  I came with just my husky, and the people and staff were just the absolute nicest people ever. The Mile High nachos with steak is unbelievably delicious! My husky loved her burger! I would come back here with her any time!

  awesome dog friendliness

  Everyone was happy with both my dogs. Gave us a bucket of ice water for dogs. As long as dogs are leashed and well mannered they are welcomed.
