  Excellent food, nice shaded dog-friendly patio

  Our family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. We liked it so much that we came back a week later at the end of our trip to eat here again! They have a nice enclosed & covered patio that is dog-friendly and they brought a lobster bucket filled with water right away. We were also able to order a plain, non-seasoned burger for him. During our 2 visits, we ordered the lobster, sautéed lobster claw dinner, lobster tails, garlic steak alfredo, honey garlic salmon, macaroni & cheese, blueberry pie, mini key lime cake, mini raspberry lemon drop cake, bread pudding, and death by chocolate cake. The service was friendly and everything was excellent - though the mini cakes are not made in-house and were not as good as the other desserts. I highly recommend a stop here and we'd definitely come back if we're ever in the area again.

  We went with our pup for dinner after hiking Acadia National Park. everyone was friendly and welcoming to us and especially our dog Moe. The food was great. They had water bowls for Moe. I especially liked that the outdoor area was shielded from the wind as it’s been a chilly week here in Maine. Clearly a family owned business that is frequented by locals as well.....and not just lobster on the menu although the lobster deal was great

  Great Service & Love Dogs

  My family and I (2 dogs & 8 humans) visited this fine establishment. The service couldn't have been better. They sat us very comfortably to one side of the outdoor, covered seating. The waitress brought over two buckets of water for our dogs before she even greeted us :-D The food was great- we'll be returning! All around a pleasant experience especially since they clearly love dogs!

  Always good food and always very accommodating to the dog. Our server was new, but she did an awesome job with us and the dogs.

  Driving back to our hotel, we passed Ruth and Wimpy’s, saw all the cars in the lot (mostly Maine tags) and turned around. What a good decision! We were seated in the outdoor area and our dog was given so much attention, with a bucket of water served to her without even asking. The lobster and broiled haddock dinners with our sides of Caesar salad, extra thin batter dipped onion rings and sweet potato fries were excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and very obviously loved dogs!

  good food, nice outdoor seating for the dog

  Our first time at Ruth & Wimpy's. They have a large, deck with several tables. Ours had an umbrella. They brought water for our dog, and their menu was extensive. Our appetizers and entrees were good and reasonably priced. We'd definitely return here again!
