  Great stop!

  We love McAlisters anyway, so we were happy to find one along our roadtrip. Our dogs (1 large and 1 small) were welcomed on their covered porch for our lunch. The staff were super friendly and nobody minded the pups.

  True Texas Hospitality for people and their dogs!

  We sat outside on their covered porch. While we waited for our food order the wait staff "oohed and ahhed "over our medium-sized rescue dog. They were happy to provide him with fresh water. Our dog seemed relaxed and comfortable as we ate our lunch. By the way the Ham and Cheese Toastie grilled sandwich and the BLT we're fantastic! The cole slaw and iced tea were delicious. We'll be back next time we're passing through Texarkana! McAlister's has other locations -- we'll try those locations also.
