  Great location

  This was the most pet friendly bar/restaurant that I have ever visited! The service was outstanding! We were able to enjoy a couple of delicious beers and dinner after a long day on the road with our dog. I highly recommend it.

  Great Find!!

  Passing through and needed a place to eat and take a break with pup. Couldn't believe they let us eat INSIDE with our pup. Bonus! Food was fantastic, service was incredible and prices were reasonable. Will definitely stop again when traveling through Terre Haute!

  My pup Harley's favorite!

  When my senior dog Harley and I lived in Terre Haute, this was our favorite place to eat. All the staff remembered her whenever we visited and would bring treats or bacon. She and I both adore the homemade chips. Aside from the ultra dog-friendly staff, this place is great because they let you have your dog inside, while most places only let you have your dog at outdoor seating, which makes eating in cold weather no fun. Overall, great food, good trivia night, good drink selection, amazing staff. We've moved on from Terre Haute, but we sure do miss Sonkas!

  the corner patio was a bit noisy
  we were able to order a plain grilled chicken breast for our pup

  Amazing - Dog Friendly Inside!

  We were on a road trip passing through Terre Haute and needed a place to take a break and eat dinner. Such nice staff! So welcoming to us. I still can’t believe they let dogs inside. I was hesitant walking in with my 100 pound Great Dane but they all made it seem like no big deal. Found a corner table out of the way, that happened to have a rug on the floor for Kylie to lay on. Worked out perfectly. I was nervous we wouldn’t be able to find anywhere to go in this cold November weather. Highly recommend. 10/10

  Great Food and Great Service

  The Staff and Food were wonderful....they even brought a bowl of ice water for our little guy.

  Great restaurant!

  This place is the best to bring a dog! They were soo friendly and nice and had good good. They gave our dog a few treats and offered a water bowl!

  Great food and Dog Friendly!

  Sonkas is a great place to have dinner or stop for a beer with your dog. Staff is really friendly and they will often bring out a bowl of water and a cookie!

  Good place !

  We stopped here for a late lunch and were able to bring our German Shepherd in with us thankfully as the temperature was hot !!! The service and food were both really good and they brought a bowl of water for our pup

  Sonka's is one of the best places to eat with your dog I've ever found. Staff are always friendly, food is tasty, and dogs are always welcome.

  Look no further!

  Visiting town for the week to help out some friends in an emergency and brought the pup along to keep me company. This place not only allows dogs indoors and on the 2 great outdoor patios, but they have great food, great food/drink specials, amazing selection of local craft beers and hard to find imports. The food is fantastic and the staff- every single one of them- just make you and your dog feel at home in town the second you step through the door.

  Great Place for Dogs and Humans!

  Even though I had read the other reviews, I still couldn't believe it that our pup was permitted inside to be with us for dinner. The staff was very nice and the patrons all seemed to enjoy the dogs that were there. The food was pretty good and there was a great draft beer selection. A great find!

  very accommodating

  They were friendly and filled our dog's water bowl... Also brought out treats and wanted to pet our dog. Decent food. We came through town on a Saturday night but it wasn't too busy and got good service.

  Very Welcoming of dogs inside!

  I went with my folks and their dog, Duffer to eat at Sonka's. It was on his bucket list. The staff was so welcoming and doted on duffer. They brought him a bowl if water and some dog cookies on a plate (his dessert after the meat and cheese tray he shared for dinner. The rest of the food is outstanding!! The Reuben is great, and there are a lot if great beers on tap! Prices are really reasonable too!
