There's a good amount of dog friendly seating in the beer garden and 5 outdoor tables. Very dog friendly. Would have been 5 bones but they acknowledged our pup and didnt bring a water bowl or have any out

Dogs welcome in the huge open area seating area and on the patio. Water dishes provided. Food available from a food truck and delivered from Smithtown Seafood located next door. Fun atmosphere! Highly recommend.

I wanted this to be a good experience, and although it wasn’t horrible, it could of been so much better! The covered area needed more fans, even with a high of only 78, it was way too hot!!! Our pups were not offered bowls for water and the bowls that other dogs had next to them, were empty and dirty. I saw a water refill spot, but without a bowl, our pups were getting very thirsty. We had one server deliver our food, but she wasn’t with West Sixth and was rushed, but polite. She just didn’t have time to help us with napkins, salt, dog bowls, ketchup, etc.
Also, because there weren’t any fans, with the exception of one way up in the rafters that did not provide any relief, we were swatting flies away the entire time and extremely hot! Needed some air flow for sure!
For the good news...the fish restaurant, that is not a part of West Sixth, had delicious food We had fish and chips, (big pieces of grouper) hush puppies app with yummy dipping sauces, plus 2 specials ....the friend green tomatoes AND bay scallops and grits. This is typically blackened shrimp and cheese grits but bay scallops were on special so they gave us a choice for a very small up-charge. And the scallops were amazing! ALL the food was delicious!!! We ordered 2 flights of beer, they weren’t served as cold as I prefer, but we enjoyed all 5 samples they gave us. Those pesky flies tried to get in our beer glasses so we fought them away from our food and beverages. Yuck! We quickly ate a few bites, downed our beer samples, and got our food to go. We came home and devoured our leftovers right away. The food was a full 5 bones, the beer, and ambiance was 3-4 bones.
“Make a Wish Charity” was there and we donated as well as had a portion of our bill go towards the nonprofit. Kudos to West Sixth Brewery for arranging this opportunity. We will definitely be back, just bring our own dog bowls and water next time. Maybe some bug spray or a fly swatter? Also, I think choosing Saturday at 5 wasn’t the best time, so maybe a less busy night. We will return though and next time write a better review...hopefully! - SarahMay 28, 2019Great Spot!
There is a half indoor half outdoor area and a patio that allows dogs. The area inside was no dogs allowed but there is a bar out where they are allowed! Great seafood at the restaurant connected - they even bring your food to you!
- JesiccaSep 23, 2018My favorite dog friendly place in Lex!
Every time we are in lexington we visit West Sixth! We love the feel of the dog friendly area! There are dog bowls everywhere and there have always been several dogs there!
- SadieAug 10, 2018Covered, ventilated "outdoor" seating
They have a great patio that's well covered and sheltered from the elements that you can bring your dog to, and a bar leading to rhe outside of the building so no need to step foot inside. Smithtown seafood and crank n boom ice cream available to order inside makes for a great evening!
- BernieMore than a year agoMy dogs love it
The porch area is all season, fresh seafood is awesome, great beer.
