- BriannaAug 19, 2024Great food, great service, very dog friendly
Cheap beer, great food, server brought us all water and turned on the fans. Covered patio that definitely makes a difference in the summer heat!
- ChelsieAug 10, 2024Disgusting
The food was so nasty and the tables and chairs were a mess. We sat outside and it took forever to get served with our pup. Do not recommend whatsoever.
- JanetJul 16, 2024Low Stress - Great Food
We ate lunch on their dog friendly patio - totally covered and with misters - on a 100 degree day. The server brought us out a water bowl with our water! We enjoyed a leisurely lunch, delicious smoked Tri Tip and Brisket. The wait staff and management were great and very welcoming. Good food, good people.
- NadineApr 29, 2024It was the best dining experience with our dogs!
Visited prior to going to Arches N.P. with our 3 poodles. Chris took great care of us in the outdoor covered area, put the heaters on and brought them a bowl of water. At the time we were there we were the only diners in this space. Great lunch with wonderful suggested beers and a small plate of brisket was brought for our happy poodles. 😊 🐩🐩🐩
Highly recommended when in Moab with your furbabies!!!
Thanks Chris for your attentiveness. You made our day being weary travelers. - JulieJun 25, 2023Super pet friendly
your pup gets to join you on a nice big covered porch, with misters to keep everyone cool in the 90+ degrees. food and service was great. next time you’re in Moab, stop in by.
- BeckiMay 25, 20232nd time visiting
When traveling during Covid 2020 it was hard to find anything open let alone pet friendly… we enjoyed our time & the food was great. Sssoooo…. with that in mind we stopped again. We were seated on the patio, everyone received water and our server was very nice and constantly checked on us. I gave it 4 bones instead of 5 cause the food was okay… not exceptional, but it was shaded, cool and Coco was allowed
- DeAnnaJan 23, 2023Super pup friendly!
The staff here is so welcoming to pups. our girl was given her own water & got lots of lovins. We will be back when we return for our annual trip!
- KennethAug 3, 2022Really good food!
I assume they have a dog-friendly patio, but we boarded our dog so we could enjoy the hikes. Food was excellent.
- LindaJul 19, 2022Very pet friendly
it was a very hot day. The server brought water right away. She turned on the fans and misters which made it a very comfortable dining experience.
I thought it was pricey but what isn't these days. - RachelMay 19, 2022Good food and dog friendly
stopped here during a road trip and received great service and good food. dog friendly, covered outdoor patio
- CWMay 9, 2022Good service but....
We had been on the road all day when we rolled into the Blu Pig, hungry, tired & dog in tow.
🦴So nice to find a dog friendly restaurant!
The outdoor covered, screened patio is large with about 10-12 tables set a comfortable distance between them.
🦴We experienced quick, attentive service & a bowl of ice water for our pup. Great start!
I ordered a Turkey, Bacon & Swiss w/ a side of baked sweet potato. My husband ordered the 3 Pulled Pork Taco appetizer, a cup of Gumbo Soup with a glass of sweet tea. The Gumbo Soup, he said, was excellent, the Tacos were good, the amount of meat was on the skinny side (maybe a tablespoon per taco). I found my sandwich disappointing - ChristineApr 4, 2022Good food!
The server brought ice water for our dog.
The patio was a bit chilly gor our boxer, so they gurned on the heat lamps when we asked. - MoniqueAug 21, 2021The perfect dog friendly spot
The Blu Pig was the most accommodations restaurant I’ve ever been too! We brought our two dogs to the restaurant and sat outside in their fenced in patio along with other dog owners. The waitstaff brought out a water bowl upon bringing our drinks. The food was also very delicious! As a vegetarian going to a BBQ restaurant, I had many options to choose from - so happy! 10/10 recommend
- AshleyJun 28, 2021Good pet-friendly BBQ
Good BBQ, good sized covered patio, brought water for our dog. Service could have been better, but not bad and they did have signs apologizing for being short staffed.
- RoxanneMay 18, 2021Good food and dog friendly patio
there are surprisingly few dog friendly places here in Moab, so that’s a plus! The pulled pork tacos were delish and the pulled pork plate was yummy.
- ErikMay 10, 2021Not that great
if you do go here , don’t even bother to get anything that isn’t bbq. the fried catfish had as much taste as a cardboard box, the coleslaw tasted like it was made with more onions then anything else and the BBQ sauce on the table taste like it’s Kraft from the grocery store.
not recommended for the price. - AshleyApr 16, 2021Good food
Good restaurant with a pet friendly patio right next to our pet friendly hotel (la Quinta.) The food was good, the staff was friendly and they bring a water bowl for your pups.
- HeatherFeb 25, 2021Good (pricey) food and great music!
BBQ was great! We are here at the end of February so it’s cold outside but the patio has heaters and we had no problem with our pup out there. He got a bowl of water when we got our waters.
- LizAug 28, 2020Very Good
Great food and very nice staff.
- Darsi antonJul 24, 2020Súper Dog Friendly
they had a mister outdoor area with fans AND ice water with a dog patty menu. service was superb. giving it a 4 bone only because I’m vegetarian and menu was limited.
- EfrainJul 5, 2020Great Environment
This place is very dog friendly (treats and water provided). the food was good but I went to dinner on a Saturday night at 7 and they were out of several things. Food came out before appetizers too. But once the food came it was AMAZING. Great BBQ. Order the fried green beans from the appetizer menu.
- ThepupsMar 16, 2020Great BBQ Plus ....
Brisket and pulled pork were both way above expectations. The sides - we had okra, baked beans,, slaw and cheesy potatoes all good! The stand out were the fried pork skins, fresh from the fryer and literally cracklin like those of my southern childhood AND the peach cobbler with maple bourbon ice cream - it will make your grandma weep it’s so good!
Of course the welcomed and attended to our pups with great care!

Visited with my GSD Coco. Big, covered patio. Great service. Brought water for the dog. Barbecue was good, big portions.
- BrittanyJul 21, 2019Perfect Patio
Fans and misters made the patio the perfect temperature! Our dog got water right away and the food was tasty!
- DaphneJul 19, 2019Amazing Service
They were excited to see our dog, sat us on patio by bar so we could listen to the live music. They not only immediately brought a bowl of water but also a dog treat!!
- HeatherJun 23, 2019nice spot
right next door to the hotel we were staying at. they brought our pups ice water and were friendly. the food is great, also.
- ErikaDec 8, 2018Great Service!
It was cold out but they accommodated us anyhow. Great service and great food! They brought water for Tugger and made sure we were warm and turned on heat lamps. Definitely going to go back we stayed in Moab for a week and ate here 3 times it was really good. Get the tri-tip it was great!
- KathyMore than a year agoExpected something great
We went to this restaurant based on the reviews. The food was poor, meat was dry, green beans mush and we had to request water for our dog. So disappointed!
- MackenzieSep 7, 2018Loved it!
This is the most pet friendly place to eat in the Moab area. They have a patio on the bar side and restaurant side - pick which you prefer. We sat on the bar side for live music, dinner and drinks. Right away they brought our pup a bowl of water with ice. Very friendly staff and the food was delicious - highly recommend!
- MichelleJul 27, 2018Great service
Sat outside at the bar patio. Our waiter Diego was great. He brought water for our dog. He also gave us tips as to where to go hiking that was dog friendly. We tried the drive he told us about and were not disappointed.

My mom and dad brought me with them to dinner! We got to be out on a patio. The server brought me my own bowl of water which was nice cause it’s a warm day, the cool misters helped a lot. Mom & dad had cold beer and yummy barbecue. I had a treat from the server too - and a few nibbles from the table. Nice place to hang and the music was good too!
- DanielleJun 27, 2018Very dog friendly!
My husband and I stopped in here for a quick lunch because it was right next to our hotel (La Quinta inn), also because the staff at our hotel told us they we're very dog friendly, which they most definitely were! The moment we walked in without 2 giant pups they we're greater with love and attention, they got filtered water in a very giant dog bowl, and the patio has lovely misters to keep you cool even on super hot days! The servers were just lovely! We would have definitely gone here again is time permitted, but we will definitely be back!
- TracyMore than a year agoAmazing place and Great food
Found this place using the app. Was so excited to actually find a restaurant and not just a fast food place. We sat on the patio and the waitress brought my pup a bowl of water. I had a burger and my hubby had the ribs. Very good food. Great service and great music.

We ate here 2x while visiting and they are great for the dogs and the food was delicious. The live music blues were good too!

Driving cross country we decided to come to Moab. Came to this restaurant and the service and food was amazing. The manager came out and spoke to us and made us feel very welcome. Even brought out a bowl of water for the kids. Will definitely be back.
- MarissaMore than a year agoMust Go!
We picked Blu Pig because It was dog friendly. There are two different patios to choose from. We chose the bar patio. Our waiter brought a bowl of water out for our pups. Not only was our waiter helpful with the dogs, he was awesome at answering the questions we had about the area of Moab (we had camping questions) on top if the great service and setting, the food was SO GOOD!!! Definitely recommend!!
- DennisMore than a year agoAwesome - dog friendly ppace
Stopped in for lunch during a visit to Moab. We sat on the patio on the restaurant side and enjoyed our stay and lunch with our dog.
Returned that evening and went on the patio on the bar side. Always felt welcome by the staff and other patrons.
Food was awesome. Service was great.
Thanks for being so dog friendly and so good. - TonyaMore than a year agoWe highly recommend!!!
They were very pet friendly and had no problem letting our dog hang out with us on the patio. The food was excellent and so was the service. We will definitely be back as we travel through Moab often.
- LindsayMore than a year agospacious patio, delicious food
When I checked into La Quinta, they gave me a card to get 10% off my meal here, so after settling in from a long drive, we walked across the parking lot to the restaurant! It was such a blessing to have such great food so close by, and being a hot day, there was hardly anyone on the patio, so I didn't have to worry about my pup getting too excited. I will remember this place for my next trip!
- RavenMore than a year agoSo welcoming, so yummy
We stopped here on a loooong drive through the heat of July 2016. The staff was welcoming to us an our dogs. The seating on the patio with the misters and shade was just perfect for us and our pups. We enjoyed a great meal (fried okra is yum!) and our dogs got a break from the car AND the overwhelming heat. Our server, Orlando, was just over the top kind and generous.
- JudiMore than a year agoPawfect!
Very nice covered, heated patio, which was perfect in late October. They brought the pooch his own water bowl. And for the humans, the food was delicious and service was great!

While on a family vacation in December 2014 we stopped in at the Blu Pig Restaurant with our two pets, Lucky, our Bichon, and Gibbs, our Poodle. We could not have made a better decision!. The staff was wonderful. Our waiter, Joe, was absolutely terrific. The food is fantastic. By far the best Bar-B-Que we've had outside Texas! Definitely stop by the Blu Pig. You won't be disappointed.
