We had a great experience and saw the most beautiful double rainbow !

We were rushing to get out of the sudden rain and we’re so excited to discover Boon’s has a great covered patio- we were seated next to other parties who had dogs with them - all were well behaved & there were no problems. The waitstaff brought a big bowl of water with ice out to our pup and we treated her to a “doggy” burger that our pleasant server told us about. Our dinner ended with the sun peaking through and the most magnificent vivid double rainbow appeared. It was absolutely a pleasant experience !

    So dog friendly!

We were a party of 3 with 4 dogs on a beautiful summer night. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Brought a bowl of water and a plate of bacon for the dogs! The people food was outstanding as well. Highly recommend!

Owner stepped on our pups tail!

First they sat us at a table on the patio that had an insane amount of traffic passing our table after I had made a reservation and told them we’d be bringing our dog and would’ve preferred something more off to the side. Our pup was well behaved for most of the night, besides a couple times where he barked and a few people who tried to approach him. Our set was great and the food was pretty good, but our night ended terribly. As I was waiting to settle our tab the “owner” was stumbling around obviously slightly intoxicated and stepped on our pups tail and he ended up barking and snarling at the owner. The owner then walked away only to come back moments later and demand that we leave immediately in the most rude and unprofessional way. Heed this warning and find somewhere else. No need to support the jerk who owns this place.

This is a great restaurant to give you a taste of Maine! The employees Elise and Hannah went above and beyond!! Get the Lobster Max and Cheese and Maine blueberry cheesecake! Drinks are great too and Charlie the golden retriever was loved on, and wants to return!!

Great food but not so pet friendly

Took a bit for our waiter to come to the table. Got water then didn't come back for a few. Finally got drinks and I order appetizers at the same time. Figured he was a bit behind why not. Got our oysters and they where delicious but he asked if we need any hot sauce and horseradish but never brought it over to us Drinks 🍸bloody Mary had a lobster claw. Then the fried calamari delicious. Not once did he offer water to our buddy Brody. Once our food got to the table, I had to ask him if I could get some French fries for our Brody. He then says they are low on fries since it was a busy weekend. I get he was busy but this is a pet friendly restaurant 🤷‍♀️ never offered anything to our fur baby. We did get our French fries.

    Owner loves dogs

We sat out on one of the patios under a heat lamp. The service was good and the food was solid. What really gets them 5 bones is that the owners love dogs and make space for people to sit with their companions out side. Not only that she came and fawned over our boy and asked if he could have some bacon. Mac was the happiest of us all.

    Treated Our Pup Well

Gave us an outdoor table with plenty of space for our pup & gave her water as well. Food was well liked overall - the daily specials were better than the standard menu.

    Less Than Average Food

Nice set-up but the food is tasteless and expensive. I had a “Northeast Lobster roll”. The lobster was just warm and tasteless. The roll was served with French fries that were dry. Food must have been prepared hours earlier.
The restaurant accept dogs on the terrace but didn’t offer water for our pup.
    I would not recommend.

Quick Service, Especially for My Dog

There wasn’t an outdoor table available yet so we had a drink at The Porthole next door. Within 10 minutes we got a call that our table was ready and they promptly brought a bowl of water over for our dog. Service was fast and food and drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend!
