The Lewis Creek Market in the Newtown Historic District, next to Landes Park (a favorite spot for locals to walk their dogs) is located in the old Livery Stable at the foot of Church Street. The 1905 building, a stone’s throw from the old railroad bridge, and overlooking Lewis Creek, not only has a beautiful market, specializing in local Virginia products, produce, wine and gifts, but also includes a tasting room and deli kitchen. There is a gorgeous outdoor patio, with a special entrance just for pets: perfect for socializing in a picnic atmosphere. The tasting room is open to the public, as well as being a venue for educational events, and available for booking for private parties.
