  Great experience

  It was a very warm day. I saw picnic tables but they did not have shade. I went in and asked if they were dog friendly and had a shady table. she said to bring our dog on in. The Hostess sat us on a covered deck overlooking the sound. She gave Piper, our Lab, a dog treat and water. We were there for lunch off season. .Food was delicious. Very accommodating and I highly recommend

  Nice place

  good food, amazing service, 6 picnics table where you can eat with your dog. fully recommend to try and they have also nice selection of fish and seafood to buy fresh.

  Cute place, fresh fish

  Stopped in while out galavanting. The people were genuinely friendly and offered out pups fresh water and treats. We ate very fresh fish (flounder) and chips outside while enjoying a peaceful view of the water. The hush puppies were delicious and loved the cole slaw as well. We would absolutely return.

  Dog friendly picnic tables

  The food was good (nothing special), one of us went in to order, we ate out back at the picnic table. No one offered those biscuits I read about.

  Special Experience

  Before our food arrived it started raining and a gentleman who I assume was the owner set us up in the gazebo over the water. I do not think that is normally allowed. We had Caribbean Shrimp wrap with no tomatoes w/ fries and Dr Pepper, Hush puppies, Two Oyster Po Boys with Corn w/ Dr Pepper and a Stella, Grilled Salmon w/ Shack Chips and Strawberry Lemonade. Best Hush Puppies! It was a great experience with friendly staff.

  Amazing food, service and view!!

  My family and I went out for dinner tonight and this was on of the few nicer places close by that allowed dogs. The food and the view were absolutely wonderful, but how the staff welcomed Luna and gave her treats and brought a bowl of ice water without even needing to ask was so sweet. I’d definitely come back again!!

  Perfect spot!

  We ate at Sugar Creek right next door. They have a dog friendly patio with a great view! We went in the front door and they took us out to the patio. They brought our pup a milkbone and some water. All of the staff was friendly and the food was excellent!!

  Great dog friendly deck

  Great food, service and Sound side view. Staff are very welcoming to dogs. Three dog families enjoyed lunch while we were there.

  Very pet friendly with great service, food and views!

  We actually went to the Sugar Creek restaurant located right beside the Sugar Shack. We were greeted by the host offering our pup a milk bone and they allowed us to walk through the restaurant to get to the outdoor seating area. The views of the sound are beautiful and the service was fast and friendly!

  Our puppy was greeted warmly by the staff and given a Milk Bone upon arrival. Once seated they asked if he would like some water. Good food and happy puppy makes a good combo.

  Great Dog-friendly setting

  Traveling with Penny, our recently rescued and very separation-anxiety-driven lab, so it is either eat in at the beach house rental, take out, or dog-friendly. We gave the Sugar Shack a try. Very nice setting in a covered outdoor space on the water. The staff was very friendly and served Penny fresh water and a generously proportioned hush puppy snack. We were up for fried and boiled sea food, and this is a great place for that. It is true what other guests noted, that ordering is indoors, so this is a challenge if you are traveling alone with dog. We didn’t have to deal with that. For us, it was perfect and we would certainly go again.

  great views!

  We enjoyed dinner over sunset here with our dog. You have to order food inside and they will bring it out to you on the outside patio which over looks the sound. Nice views, okay food.

  great food!!! Nice people

  Stopped here on vacation with my Aussie, parents and their Aussie. There was a small patio over looking the ocean. You have to order inside. The staff was very friendly! Food was amazing. I would definitely go back pups or not

  Good seafood!

  I came here bc it said on here that it was dog friendly. I wanted a low key place to have good seafood and chill with my pup. I got that and they were nice enough to bring him water too as it was hot outside. My only complaint is the outdoor area is rocky and you have to go inside to order so I actually left my dog in the car then went to sit down and get my food as I was alone.
