The staff is so lovely. We were looking for a good atmosphere where the pup could be relaxed and easy after a long day out. Our doggie was offered food on a platter and I had some vegan BBQ. I will definitely visit again and enjoy the happy hour drinks.

Blue Pit is near all the old mills of Baltimore City and it lends a bit to the working class ambience of the restaurant. This is not, I repeat, NOT, a bad neighborhood. Granted, I believe most of Baltimore City to be full of inviting neighborhoods. As for Blue Pit, I’m a huge fan of all their bbq options, but more frequently opt for the pork plates (ribs are smoked well, pulled pork is moist and tender, and the brats have a perfect snap). The sweet heat bbq sauce is my preference, although the brats are very well complemented by the in house mustard. Drinks are strong and whiskey forward drinks are their strong suit (very well balanced old fashioneds). The beer selection is focused on local brewers and it is pretty solid. This is my favorite bbq in Baltimore. Oh, and they love my pup- even gave her a t-shirt (her favorite).
- CynthiaMore than a year agoOne of the best places in Baltimore!
Every time I have a friend or family member come in from out of town, this is the first place we go - and always with my pup! Awesome food, large open deck, super friendly owners and tasty cocktails (or beer if you prefer). More than just dog friendly, they practice what they preach and support local pet charities on a regular basis. Go here on a beautiful day and sit with your dog on the deck. You order all food and drink at the bar and they will bring it out to you. Don't order too much! It's all addictive. They even have vegetarian bbq if that is something you want (jackfruit). Enjoy!

We bring our dog here all the time! They have a closed off patio with umbrellas for those hot days. Bowls of water are supplied and sometimes the staff come out with treats! When we don't have the dog, we love eating inside. Great food, drinks and staff.

Woodberry is a great neighborhood, not sure what the other person is talking about. Food is good, on par with mission bbq. Drinks are a bit expensive but they have a wide selection of whiskey as it is a whiskey bar.
- LizMore than a year agoNot the Greatest Neighborhood
We went to this bar on vacation with our pups. After we got there we realized it wasn't the greatest neighborhood and didn't stay long. Drinks weren't very good either, yet expensive. The staff was however, extremely nice and friendly towards us and our pups.
