  Stopped In W/ Dog On Road Trip

  We stopped in route back home to Atlanta from the beach with our 70 pound golden doodle. it was pouring rain and we sat on the deck with no issues. The food was good, especially the vinegar sweet coleslaw! it was a saturday and we were there right at 12 when it opened and it filled up FAST.

  Alternative food right off freeway

  local institution. Not fast food but easy to get to. Covered deck was great since was a rainy day.

  Great travel stop!

  With or without a dog this is an easy stop just off the interstate. The food was good and the atmosphere great. Brandi enjoyed her bowl of water too.

  Not to Judge a Book by it’s Cover but...

  We didn’t even go in. It had a horrid stench outside, you have to go off-road to get to the restaurant. The patio in the back looked like it was going to collapse at any minute, as it was rocking back and forth. Would not suggest. Granted, we didn’t go in to see anything, but I think we saw enough from just the looks.

  Good food and great atmosphere.

  We were traveling to Birmingham for a wedding and needed to stop somewhere for lunch. We went to bring fido.com and the Capitol Oyster Bar was listed. It's got a very nice deck out back overlooking the river and Oliver, our Yorkie, was more than welcome. I would suggest that anybody traveling with their fur baby give it a try.

  Dog Gone Good

  Very Dog friendly. Although restaurant had pet food and water on the deck they brought additional water and hush puppies for Gizmo.
