  They were so nice and friendly there. The food was fantastic! A hidden gem. We will be back when passing through for sure!

  Lovely people and yummy food

  We just enjoyed lunch at Watson’s on our cross-country trek. What a great place! The people were so nice, and the food was outstanding. It’s worth the effort to get there just to experience a very cool Mercantile/Feedstore/barbecue joint. Highly recommend!

  A classic BBQ joint in Tucumcari

  If you are doing a Route 66 journey, Tucumcari NM is a must stop, and Watson's is the place to go if you have your dog along. Take some photos of the Blue Swallow Motel at night if you are in town.

  The Real Thing!

  Terrific BBQ at an authentic roadside spot off old Rte 66 in Tucumcari. Super friendly people and very dog friendly!!

  What a gem!

  So glad we stopped here. The owners were so nice, the food was great, and we were able to sit outside in the shade and eat with our dog. Great place to stop, eat, and hang out for a little while. It is a gem!

  Great Stop

  Friendly, funky and fun stop with good burgers and covered outdoor seating for dog owners. Inside is an antique and general store. A must see in Tucumcari!

  BBQ-Antique Display-Feed Store and More!!

  We did not eat there as we had already eaten at Kix on Rte (listed on site) but we did stop in search of some gifts for friends back east and just loved it. They have BBQ and other food (homemade donuts and cookies) and a wonderful outdoor seating area that is covered. Owners are super friendly and welcoming to humans and their canine companions. Put this on your list if you are traveling across I-40 or on old Rte 66 in New Mexico.
