  Nice patio pretty good food

  The staff was nice and friendly, but then they asked how we wanted our burgers cooked and completely disregarded our requests. The patio was a little small but not too crowded, but the place next door was better. I didn’t regret going there but probably wouldn’t go back.

  Fantastic food and local beer selection

  The patio is large and has its own separate bar that you can order from during peak season. Fire pits for cool evenings. Can call ahead for patio spot since the hostess is inside.

  Good for dogs, ok for everything else

  the patio is huge with a ton of space for your pets! the service was really slow outdoors though, and food was ok. we were able to order a puppy patty for our dog

  Nice padio- okay food

  We had lunch on the patio with our chocolate lab. It was a nice large patio and 4 other dogs here. The food was just okay and the beer was good. Our food came out after 15 minutes and did have to ask where our beer was. Staff was friendly.

  Good food and huge patio

  They have a huge patio where dogs are welcome. We had 2 large dogs, so size was no issue. I believe the season is just opening up for outdoor dining because the shorter chairs for regular tables were all broken and a lot wasn't set up out there. However, they accommodated us even though they didn't have servers out there. We were worried service may be slow, but it wasn't. Very good service and they brought a water bowl out for the dogs. The food was VERY good. My daughter is still talking about the sweet potato fries, which she said were the best she's ever had. We both had the buffalo meatloaf wrapped in bacon on sourdough. It was excellent, but the bread was more like plain white bread, not sourdough. The patio was large and you could have shade or sun depending on where you sit. There was also corn hole & jenga that kids were playing while we were there. Must pay for parking on street. Overall, great place.

  Employment Problem

  They did being my dog water, but we had been there about 15 minutes before anyone came over. Service was extremely slow. Sliders came out twice and were wrong. The people who were working really tried to keep up and make things right, but it still fell short.

  Delicious food and spacious patio

  Patio is dog friendly and there are several tables with umbrellas but we sat at the bar which was also shaded for lunch. The food here was delicious (we got the strawberry habanero wings, mango chutney chicken sandwich and the pop’s burger) and they source local farms, breweries and wineries. They also immediately brought a bowl of ice water for our dog.

  If You Don’t Go Here You’re Missing Out!

  Oh my gosh! We have been in SD almost a week and we went to Murphy’s today and it was definitely the BEST food I’ve had since I’ve been here! The Blackened Salmon Salad is TO DIE FOR. Our waiter was great and treated our pup like royalty. Will try to pop back in again before we leave at the end of the week.

  Awesome Patio & Food!

  Place in general is huge, and the patio is also very spacious! Really nice fire pits that keep you warm too! Large local tap selection and awesome food, highly recommend!

  Great place!

  We stopped here on a whim because we were walking downtown Rapid City on vacation with our two Scotties. The patio is pet friendly and the staff are all extremely friendly and love dogs. Our server brought them a bowl of water immediately. We had a couple of drinks and split the sausage sampler appetizer, it was really good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  Nice patio with tables far away to accommodate us with our two ridgebacks
  There were four more dogs on the patio. Service and food was good.

  A Must Stop

  Murphy’s was on our list of must try Dog Friendly places. When we arrived they were closing the patio. When the hostess noticed we had a pup she made an exception and set us up under the covered portion of their patio and made us feel right at home. The patio was great for the whole family, they had yard games like corn hole and a giant connect four. Staff was extremely friendly and constantly giving Porkchop, our pup, love. The food was AMAZING. I highly recommend the Murphy Burger and the Strawberry Habanero wings. Murphy’s was everyone’s favorite food stop on our trip. We hope to make it back again!

  Dog friendly AND great food

  We had a great experience with our 2 medium sized dogs at Murphys Pub. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch on the patio while our dogs enjoyed some shade and fresh water from our server. The food was great and our server was wonderful (a fellow dog lover)! If you are traveling with your dogs or not, I highly recommend this place! Thank you to Murphys Pub and Grill for being per friendly!

  Everyone was very nice..food was great..everyone there wanted to pet our dog. The porch is very nice and we had ordered the burgers :) they were great! Best burgers so far that we have had here. They brought our dog water with ice when our water was brought out. Would recommend to any one with pets! I took a picture of ours there, but can't see were to post it.

  We stopped for lunch driving through Rapid City and saw they had burgers and dog friendly outdoor seating. Friendly staff, brought water for our dog and good burgers. Great outdoor seating!
