Excellent food, service, atmosphere and very dog friendly

We were able to sit at an outside table in the shade with our dog. They offered her water right away. The accommodations for food sensitivities were greatly appreciated and the food was fresh and delicious. The server was helpful and attentive. Great place!

    Good food, strange/bad service

Food was good. Service was the strangest I’ve experienced. First we get there and all but two of the outside tables were empty. Hostess said 45 min wait. Ok, we waited and a table was “ready” in 30 mins..great!! We go back and there’s a group of maybe 5 or 6 who just arrived and the hostess sat them right away and gave them their choice of the now two empty outside tables. She cold shouldered us and handed us off to another staff member who just went to the last empty table and put down the menus and silverware and left without a word. Our waitress was a touch better but I had to ask for water for my dog (who is small and well behaved) and once our food arrived, we didn’t see her again. I wanted a drink refill, no one to ask. However there were other staff coming to ask to take our plates. Very strange, did not feel welcome. I was the only one with a dog, was that it? Or was it something else? Don’t know or understand why we were treated differently, but will not be back.

Good food, great service, and pet-friendly

We came to St Augustine for a few days of R&R. On our second night, we headed to the Floridian for some good food and were not disappointed. Since we had our puppy with us, we sat outside and under cover due to the potential for rain. The service was excellent. We started with the oh-so-summer-y-flatbread as our appetizer. Very good. Then, for dinner, we had the shrimp and sausage pilau and fresh catch nicoise. Both were delicious. We enjoy visiting the Floridian for that old Florida feeling, knowing we will have good service and food.

    Good food and dog friendly

The food was very good. The outdoor overflow area where we sat was nice, tables are far enough apart to give a big Lab space. Our dog seemed to appreciate being able to lay down on the mulch. Waitress brought water for dog after being asked. A couple of people in the same seating area came over to pet our pooch, which he greatly enjoyed.

Best meal of our trip & super dog friendly!

We tried The Floridian based on recommendation of a local helping us find something off the beaten path. Great food! Exceptional service and our golden retriever was readily welcomed on the patio. They brought him water as soon as we sat down. Can’t say enough about the quality of the meal! Two paws up!

    Very dog friendly!

Nestled about a block West of St. George Street so you don’t have to deal with lines of tourists as you enjoy your meal. Food was phenomenal and service was super quick. Everyone there seemed to love dogs and brought out a water bowl (even after I had my own collapsible one filled for the dog) out so my dog wouldn’t have to worry about overheating-super thoughtful!!

    Love This Place!

Hubs and I visited St. Augustine for Memorial Day and decided to grab lunch here. The staff loved our dogs and brought them water and there was no problem! The food is awesome and it came out quick! I would definitely recommend for someone looking for a local restaurant with fresh food!

    Perfect Evening

We walked in at 6:30 on a very crowded Saturday night in St. Augustine. The water bowl decorated with bones on the sidewalk at the patio entrance was a sign that they were dog-friendly. We were happy to find they had plenty of room on the patio. They let us sit wherever we liked so we took a table near the entrance and away from another dog that was already there with his family. The staff was wonderful to our two dogs and brought them each a water bowl. The place really began to fill up and all the people entering were greeted by the goofy grin of our bulldog/lab mix.

The food was fantastic – definitely a cut above the typical burgers & sandwich kind of place. We would have expected food of that caliber to be at a white tablecloth establishment but here we were enjoying it on a patio with our dogs. Great cocktail and bar selection too! We’ll be back.
