  Misleading

  Read the reviews.. so we decided to go there to eat with our pup.. The menu did not offer a pup menu like the reviews stated.. we sat outside and the tables were dirty and the food was horrible.

  The service was impeccable my waiter Marz (yes with a Z) was very attentive to group and my dog. I was celebrating my 51st birthday and he put every effort in to making it special. There’s even a pet friendly menu the food was delicious. I don’t know if it was due to the pandemic or the time of year that I was there but it wasn’t very many patrons but it was great service great food and I will go again

  they were very accommodating and do have many choices for a dogs meal just ask. food was decent but nothing special.

  Great for Pooches!

  This restaurant has everything your pooch could hope for: covered patio, prompt water bowl, friendly staff, and their very own menu! Our dogs enjoyed the plain shredded chicken breast topped with a dog biscuit. For people though.... you can definitely find better food on the island.

  Best Place Ever For Your Pet!

  I love this place so much! Nice staff, automatically brought a big bowl of water with ice in it for my dog. They have amazing food, and live music at night! It was nice to sit out on the porch and relax. Super pet friendly, they have a menu for your pup or even cat! These people were so nice and loved to talk to you about your pup or even have a nice conversation with. Great food, Great music, Great people! I drive 8 hours a few times a year just to come to south padre island for this restaurant! Yes it’s that good! ❤️❤️❤️

  Great place!!!

  We came to Padre Rita Grill based on other Fido reviews. From the time we arrived, the service was amazing! Our dog was welcomed with hugs and a bowl of ice water. The happy hour margaritas were awesome, as were the nachos! I’d highly recommend this place!

  I wish there were more restraunts like this the food was great and best thing i got to bring my 4 leg child there.

  THE BEST PLACE EVER!!

  I can't stope raveling about this place!! Such good food and they were so nice to my puppy!! Love the puppy menu super healthy and free water for them!! The owner was so nice I loved her!!

  Great service by Laura! They even have a pet menu--amazing, it's probably the only time our pooch will be able to eat at a restaurant.

  Great Island Place to Eat with Pups

  We enjoyed dinner here and our pups had a great time too. The food is delicious and the service on the patio was impeccable. We read other reviews and saw how nice they are upon bringing dogs so thought we would try it while on vacation. They brought a big bowl of water and also a cute menu just for our two dachshunds. Can’t wait to come back.

  This place is awesome!

  I wish we had known about this place the first day we arrived. Great staff, great people menu and a great menu for dogs!! We went to SPI for our 35th anniversary last week and took our goldendoodle with us, he didn't like us leaving him in our condo so he had to go with us everywhere. Our waiter was great from the moment we walked through the door. He brought out a big doggie bowl of water and gave us our menus and handed us a doggie menu, great way to make us feel welcome!!! We ordered the doodle his meal then we ordered ours, our dog was very happy with his chicken and rice bowl. We had such a great experience that we went back for our anniversary dinner. Again we had a great waitress and they helped celebrate our 35 years.
  The outside may not look like much but this place has great food and a fantastic staff. We will be back next year and will plan to visit this place more than twice next time.

  Most dog-friendly place ever!

  This is the best place to bring your dog. The restaurant is so accommodating and even has a menu just for dogs. Our Australian shepherd enjoyed a grilled hotdog while we ate our food (also delicious). We will definitely be back during our week stay on the beach.

  super meal, excellent service

  our waiter Artie was super accimodating, kept our beverages full and went beyond the normal deal to make sure we had an excellent meal. We chose this place due to its dog friendly front porch. Our waiter brought us a fresh clean bowl of water without having to ask. Seafood all you can eat buffet ws well worth the $24 price. John from the buffet brought me a perfectly cooked piece of prime rib, and was also super friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in town

  Pup-Friendly Jewel!

  After other non-pup disappointments on the island, I stumbled onto this patio and was amazed. PadreRita has permanently moved to the top of my Island list. Waitress was amazing, very courteous service, just an overall awesome visit with my pup! Oh yeah, lunch was great and so was the 'ritas. Thank you Taylor for such awesome service!!!
