  Food great, timing/location not so much

  we stopped for a night on our way through to Florida. this had such great reviews for dinner we made reservations. because of the dog we had to be outside on the sidewalk. it’s not the best part of town, streets deserted but for drag racing cars going by. we needed our own water dish. however - food is great! lunch would have been better than late night dinner.

  We stopped for lunch in the middle of a 7 hour drive. Outdoor seating (4 tables) but not covered. Bring your own water dish.

  Food was very good! Mac and cheese was awesome! We also had broccoli, collards, baked beans, smoked chicken and pulled pork. All very good! Service was great and food came fast. We will come back sometime!

  This is a continuation to my previous review because I accidentally submitted prematurely the first one!! Ok...so...Dred mentioned the brisket, sausage, and ribs so we got them ALL!! They are not to be missed!! Seriously...get them all or you're going to miss out on tickling your taste buds with THE best BBQ in the Carolinas!! Yalem, a lady who has an infectious smile and classy grace is one of the owners from....wait for it...ETHIOPIA! That's the secret!! The BBQ has that "what is that intriguing taste that I can't quite figure out" appeal!! It's an Ethiopian spice lovingly infused into their beautifully rich BBQ sauce!! The sides are given proper respect too, with a creamy mac & cheese that's rightfully award winning, earthy collards mingled with smoked turkey, crispy sweet potatoes ribbons that shatter in your mouth and...the piece de resistance: a heavenly big bowl of Peach Cobbler done like you only wish your grandma, mother and aunt had known how to make!! Yes....it's just THAT perfect!! Don't think I'm even kidding you....this is quintessential Southern cobbler like it's suppose to be!!
  In short, go there, let Dred and the gorgeous Yalem treat you to the delights of this gem-like culinary oasis!!

  Run here! Get here somehow...no matter WHAT!! You're going to be treated to amazingly perfect service, food that you swear is manna from heaven and the friendliest, most sincerely hospitable angels who make you and your puppies feel like royalty!
  From the moment we sat down at the umbrella-shaded table we knew we made the perfect decision to spend our Fourth of July lunchtime here! A big bowl of water with ice was presented to Eddie, a Jack Russell who eagerly gave a thankful glance to Dred, who is probably the sweetest, most amiable man alive! After review of the huge array of starter options, Dred steered us to the wings and crab cakes! Oh goodness!!! Neither should be missed! Crab cakes this succulent are near impossible to find and yet here they were...two beautifully golden discs of pearly white jumbo lump crab expertly seasoned with the perfectly light handed goodness which allows the true sweetness of the crab to shine brightly on your palate! Smoked pepper-tinged wings were the perfect foil to the gentleness of the crab cakes! They were falling off the bone and jumping into my eager mouth with their not-too-spicy bronzed skin and juicy insides!
  Meandering through the extensive menu was making it difficult in terms of deciding the main entrees but then Dred came to the rescue again by artfully describing his favorite offerings which we willingly followed to a 'T'!

  Worth the drive off 95

  Stopped here for lunch while traveling. Nice outdoor sidewalk seating. BBQ, ribs, mac and cheese, peach cobbler, all delicious! Everyone was friendly and made a fuss over our dog. Don't pass it up!
