- BethJun 7, 2024Good pizza and fresh ingredients
Good place , outdoor patio , need to wait a bit to seat , we seated in a tall seat not so comfortable but we were hungry and didn’t want to wait more . Tasty food and good selection of local beer . We had mushroom pizza and chicken Parmesan with spaghetti (not a big portion can’t share ) . Waitress was friendly, my dog was quiet and wait us to eat . They have a menu for dogs but no free treats only a bowl of water
- MonserratMay 31, 2024Huge Outdoor patio
After driving 13 hours from Shenandoah we made it to Twisted laurel with only 20 mins to spare before closing. We were met with tall waters and a doggie bowl w fresh water for Storm. Not only did they greet us with a smile and great hospitality, we had a warm delightful meal. Fettuccine pasta w salmon and Goat cheese tortellini. The side salad were very large and fresh. From the Doggie menu we ordered the turkey meatloaf for our Siberian husky who devoured it.
Highly recommend.
- DyannaMay 16, 2024Brought my two pups. A+ experience
Great outdoor seating area. Dogs are not only welcomed, but pampered. There were water bowls already set out around us and we were given a doggie menu. I ordered the beef patty, which consisted of two patties per order. My good boys loved it. So happy there is a restaurant that not only welcomes dogs, but literally caters to them. Thank you so much, Twister Laurel!

Super pup friendly and large patio. Food was excellent! Crispy brussels a must! The crab cake was one of the best I’ve had. Dog menu was the bomb. My girl had 2 hamburger patties with sweet potatoes. Will def go back next time we’re in Asheville.

Our first time here. Took advantage of the nice, mild evening so we could bring our girl with us. Patio is nice and spacious. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu….they actually have a dog menu. Our Mei Ling enjoyed it too.

Asheville is well known as being dog friendly, but the folks at Twisted Laurel kick it up a notch! Our Golden Retriever thoroughly enjoyed his grilled trout and sweet potatoes from their pet menu. Living within easy driving distance, we’ll definitely be back!
- MollyJun 16, 2023Delicious doggie dining
I have never come across a restaurant with a dog menu before. Loved it, more restaurants should do this! They were out of our first item ordered (puppyloaf must be popular) but my doggo chowed down on her eggs and sweet potatoes. Also important the human food was delicious and we had great service. Hopping place so I’d put in a reservation.
- WhiskeyJan 6, 2023Very pleasant, even in the freezing cold!
We needed someplace to stop and eat while driving through Asheville, but it was during the awful cold snap. Sure, plenty of places have dog-friendly patios but how many of them are willing to serve you in 30 degree weather? Twisted Laurel was so welcoming and set up two heaters at our table to try to keep us comfortable despite the cold. The food was delicious and the doggy menu was adorable. Fantastic experience despite the weather.

We went to the Twisted Laurel upon arriving to Asheville! Our dog Bryleigh was ready to get out of the car but little did she know, she was about to get lunch as well! It was a beautiful afternoon with a great breeze but don’t worry, they have coverings to keep the sun off of you and your furry friends. They immediately brought us & Bryleigh waters. My husband and I ordered off our menu and Bryleigh got to order off of the dog menu! She thoroughly enjoyed the burger (came with two patties)! Our food and drinks were great, too! We will definitely come back the next time we’re in town!
- ChaninJul 8, 2022We both had the trout😂😂
this was great- keva and I enjoyed a nice dinner together 💕
- AtlasJul 7, 2022Might have been good but inclement weather interfered
The patio has sun sails but no waterproof cover. Not the restaurant’s fault to be sure, but we and 3 other parties with dogs tried to wait out the storm huddling under the one sort of solid covering, which was anything but solid. We ended up getting the meal to go. Never received the “dog menu” others note when originally seated. Food was ok. Brussel sprouts were a solid winner. Meatball sliders a miss with limited flavor. Caveman “wings” are actually drumsticks. Would say “dog accepting” rather than “dog friendly”. There is not a lot of space between tables.
- KirbieJun 28, 2022Dog friendly and good food
went here for lunch and the outdoor seating is so nice on a good day! Waitress brought out a water bowl and they have a dog menu. Great place!
- WillyJan 18, 2022Dog menu!!
not only does this place have amazing food and service for the humans but they also have a delicious dog menu. A must on the list while visiting!

Not much to add to the other reviews. Great cool place and the dog menue is just awesome.
- BlakeAug 5, 2021Extra Special Treatment!
This is by far the best a restaurant has ever treated our pup! They even have a special dog menu to choose from.
- KaylaMar 29, 2021Dog-friendly staff, doggie menu, water and treats!
The doggie menu was brought out to us straight-away and included burger, chicken, peanut butter, and doggie ice cream. Our 4-month old pup loved his treat that they gave him at the end, which they shared was grain free in case your dog needs that. Very attentive to dogs.
Was a bit sunny on a March afternoon, but the sun went behind the building and shade almost covered the patio by about 3:15pm when we departed.
- ChristianJul 24, 2020Great People, Great Food
very friendly and accommodating. even has a separate menu for the furry friend!
- MichaelOct 11, 2019Great Place Great Food
Wonderful food and great patio, they have a dog menu and are very friendly , we had such a great time as did our pups
- IanOct 2, 2019A good dinner spot
The outside patio looked a bit barren and sun drenched when we passed at lunchtime, but we called back in the evening and it was shady and had a bit of atmosphere with a DJ presenting a mix of easy listening music. The food and wine here are very good; they welcome dogs and bring water straight away, and there is a dog menu (although we had to ask for it).
- JanaeMore than a year agoGreat Experience!
The entire city of Asheville is very dog friendly. Twisted Laurel had a large patio and when we arrived, they seated us and brought our dog a large bowl of water. They have a special dog menu that allows you to put together a special meal for your pooch. Ours had salmon, zucchini, and sweet potatoes served to her in her own special bowl. Great experience!
