Rita's Huntington Valley
Rita's Italian Ice is dog-friendly. You can chill with your chow on one of the benches out front. During the sweltering hot summer of 1984, Bob Tumolo, a former Philadelphia firefighter, started selling Italian Ice to make a little extra cash. He named the business after his wife, Rita! The business has snowballed ever since. To keep their ice fresh, they rotate their seventy flavors day by day. Depending on when you head there, you may find Sour Patch Kids red, root beer, or Swedish Fish on the menu. Rita's Italian Ice is open every day of the week from 11am to 10pm.
