Out and about with a friend and her chunky chihuahua. The waitress greeted us, asked for the pup's name, and proceeded to bring her some ice water in a bowl - unasked. I highly recommend the pretzels, the schnitzel sammy - honestly, it was all good. And the roomy patio meant our doggy companion was able to enjoy the company without feeling overwhelmed by big folks. The staff is very comfortable with dogs and gave great beverage recommendations.

We had a really nice German dinner there (Pretzel, Jagerschnitzel, Currywurst). The beer garden is nice and rather big. Perfect for us to side outside with our dog.

Nice patio, good layout. Our pup was ignored by the wait staff, no water or snacks brought. Good was okay.

This is a wonderful little place for dogs alike. There are large fans to keep cool, and the food is great!

We were looking for a relaxed place to have lunch with our dog, so we tried Sholtz Garten. They immediately greeted our dog, brought her a nice bowl of cold water, and gave us two packets of healthy treats to give her. It made us feel so comfortable about having her with us. (You never know. Some places post that they are dog friendly just because they have outside seating, but they really don't want dogs to come.) We got traditional German food, and it was very good. The service was extrememly attentive, and the setting was very nice. Even in July, it was nice under the trees (with the help of many fans around the perimeter). We will definately go back again with our pup!

We were yearning for German food and wanted a place close to the capital and UT campus. We brought our dog who was presented with a bowl of water complete with ice cubes(90 degree weather). The outside patio is spacious and inviting. We enjoyed German food, weinerschnitzel and brautwurst. Both were delicious and filling. They have a large selection of beers and other food offerings which looked yummy too. Enjoy!
