    Monahan's Clam Shack by the Sea is a dog-friendly seafood restaurant. Over the years, the building that now houses the clam shack has functioned as a gas station, a restaurant, a dairy bar, and wait for it... a clam shack. Like a fishy Phoenix, the clam shack has risen once again, serving up seafood for the second time to the people of Narragansett. Their menu includes clam cakes, chowder, crab cakes, calamari, fries, lots of sandwiches, and ice cream for dessert. Monahan's Clam Shack is open every day of the week from 11am to 9pm.       Dog friendly!

      Nice spot if you are looking for clam shack food. Picnic tables outside and the staff is very friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day.

      Very welcoming

      The staff at Monahan's was very welcoming to our 9-month old Golden. We walked her around quite a bit to tire her out before sitting down. The outdoor seating by the water was great place for her to rest while we enjoyed some great food.
