    Dogs are welcome at the Portsmouth Publick House, where they have nine tables outside for you and your puppy on a leash. The menu consists of American fare and they are proud of the homemade food on it, like soups, meatloaf, quiche, and salsa. You'll also discover familiar entrees, including fish and chips, fried clam dinner, and golden scallops. On weekends, they serve a brunch menu. The Portsmouth Publick House is also proud to present local musicians, offering them a place to play for the public.       Great Spot!

      I was in Newport, RI on a side trip from my business in Hartford, CT. I spent the day in Newport, RI with my partner and my dog. We went to a brewery in Portsmouth and wanted to find a spot to eat after the brewery. We stopped here after The Beachcomber (do not go there). This place has 9 outdoor patio tables with a beautiful brick patio and firepit. There are lots of beers on tap and great seafood and burgers. The fish and chips were fantastic!
