Riverside on the Root is dog-friendly. Located directly on the Root River State Trail, they have one hundred outdoor seating options. Formerly a city car garage and a rental store for canoes, it has been a restaurant since 2001. Along with the extensive dinner menu, they also serve new alternative dishes that change weekly. There are gluten-free and vegetarian options available as well. The Californian flatbread starts with a house made pesto sauce, garnished with garlic, artichoke hearts, avocado, green bell peppers, tomatoes, and black pepper. If you're not looking for food, head to the Dirty Martini Lounge, serving fourteen signature martinis, and margaritas, daiquiris, and mojitos. Riverside on the Root is open Monday and Thursday from 12pm to 8pm, Friday from 12pm to 9pm, and weekends from 11am to 9pm.
