  Great location and service

  We just discovered Chesapeake City, and Schaefer's was the best! We walked part of the C&D Canal with our dog, then came to Schaefer's for a leisurely lunch. We met a friend and her dog, and the staff was terrific for our two big dogs - they seated us under the roof patio area so it was shady all day and they brought a large bowl of ice water for the dogs. They seated us on the other end of the patio away from two other dogs - very considerate. We were right on the canal so it was scenic, breezy, very roomy, and fun. The food was excellent - good selections. No rush, friendly service. We'll return for sure.

  Calling all sea dogs!

  We've been to Schaefer's twice now with our two dogs. The staff couldn't be nicer to us and our pets. They even brought out a bowl of water for each one of them. There's plenty of room on the outside decks for your dog to sit next to or under the tables, and hopefully they're enjoying the view of the canal and boats and much as their hoomans.
