Danish Cafe is truly authentic with a husband and wife team at the helm. After moving from Denmark to coastal New Jersey, they decided to open a cozy cafe that would provide Scandinavian treats. There are five dog-friendly tables outside so you can bring Fido to check out their unique menu of breakfast and lunch options. You might choose a smorrebrod, or open-faced sandwich, with herring, salami, or maybe roasted pork and red cabbage. They also serve hot ciabattas and other hands-on dishes like the European take on hotdogs, the Hapsdog. Gluten free options are available upon request, too. Danish Cafe is open Tuesday through Friday from 7am to 5pm, Saturday from 8am to 3pm and again from 6pm to 10pm for dinner. They are also open Sunday from 8am to 3pm.
