  Lucy the dog's best day ever

  The wait staff immediately came out and brought our dog milk bones and water.

  Then the owner came out and gave her some chicken (and vegetables, but she didn't care for those), and a lot of love.

  The human food was also great. Definitely a must-visit with or without your dog.

  MUST GO!

  My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant in our new home area that was also pet friendly. This was by far the best food I’ve had in a long time and the owner and staff were SUPER friendly and helpful. Our three pups LOVED the attention and the puppy menu. Will definitely be back again soon!

  What a Gem!

  What a wonderful dinner at the end of a long day of driving! Everything was fresh and delicious - the hospitality was sincere and very appreciated. Benny loved his chicken and carrots! Blessings on the new location!

  Tilly’s (and my) Favorite Restaurant!

  MJ served up a really delicious chicken bowl that Tilly, our 10 month lab, gobbled down! Everyone was so friendly and Tilly had a blast. Also, from a human perspective, the food is incredible!!

  Great Place For Adults And Dogs

  The food is always amazing here. We had to take our 11-week-old German for booster shots close by, so we ordered takeout. MJ saw my wife and puppy waiting in the car and invited them in. We ended up eating there and our puppy got her full of chicken and a doggy gyro bowl. We’ll always go back for the great food, but will be bringing our dogs now, too! This is the best place for dogs and the owner lets his love and appreciation show!

  Excellent Experience!

  Amazing food and so welcoming for our beloved boxer! The owner and staff gave her treats and hugs. Perfect stop on a walk through the beautiful Drake campus.

  Amazing Hospitality

  We stopped here on a cross-country trip and were so happy with the restaurant all around. The owner was so kind and clearly takes pride in his restaurant! Excellent food! Gave our two puppers treats and was so kind to them. We were able to sit out on the patio in the front and enjoy a pleasant stop on our long road trip. A restful oasis for both ourselves and our dogs!!

  Doggie Heaven

  So glad to find this place. We're traveling from Florida and our pup needed to be treated special. Fresh water and treats were delivered immediately.
  Hreat food and service. They genuinely care for animals as is evident when you see the squirrels lined up for their pita bread hand outs...

  Amazing!

  The food was delicious and the service was great! I’m so glad we found this place on our long trip. They accommodate our puppy with water and treats, she was very happy!

  Awesome dinner

  The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The waitress brought water and treats outside for our pup and then the manager came out later with more treats. Also the meal was so tasty. Would definitely come here again.

  Doggone Good Food

  If you would like to take your pup on an outing, this is a place to check out! Yummy Gyros, Falafels and Veggie Burgers! Vegan burgers actually. Love the hummus and dippers too! 5 Bones from me and my pooches.

  Doggone Good Time!!

  The owner went above and beyond accommodating my dog, getting her a bowl of water, and even some doggie treats! Not only was the customer service exceptional, the gyro was equally as amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing and the genuine passion from the owner and staff is amazing. Quickly became one of our favorite restaurants.

  Nice outdoor bistro seating

  Six small bistro tables line the outside which is great for dogs. The owners offered water and gave our dog seemingly endless treats with our approval. They were excited to have us and our dog stop there. Best of all, the food at this place is awesome.

  very dog friendly and good food

  Great experience here tonight, the owners were really friendly and super-welcoming to our dog. We love that they have patio seating and don’t mind if our dog comes along - in fact, she was greeted with dog treats! In fact, the owner suggested the BringFido app to us!

  The food is great, really flavorful, and vegetarian friendly. The tuna wrap comes in an excellent pita with water-packed tuna, a little bit of aioli, mustard, pickle, capers - it was great. I put the hot sauce on as well. The falafel was great too, vegan and comes in a spicy variety. The hummus had a big dose of turmeric and a firm dusting of paprika on top; I loved spreading it on a pita point and putting some of the tart tabbouli on top.

  They have beer and wine as well as a soda machine, but we actually just drank the cucumber water, it’s refreshing and free. The patio was lovely, overlooking Old Main on the Drake campus, the church on the corner, and next to the Varsity Theater. Great spot to grab a lunch or an informal dinner, highly recommended.

  Great Food and Excellent Service

  Traveling from Chicago to Colorado and found this great cafe. Dog friendly outside tables and the staff treated all of us so well, including our dog. Bonus for us was the menu offered some vegan options as well!

  Best Service!

  We always get treated like family when we come here! We were able to have a nice meal outside with our dog and the owner even brought out treats for her! 100% would recommend :)

  Truly dog friendly!

  Our shady patio lunch was great. The owners took the time to visit with us and our dog. They even offered up peanut butter treats for her. If in Des Moines, I would recommend!

  A true gem!

  Showed up here last night with our brand new bulldog puppy. The owners, MJ and Karen, just showered our little guy with love. The food is amazing and fresh. We left Gazalis feeling like we had made great friends. Don't miss this place!
