    Inspired by the comedy Billy Madison, The Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern is a dog-friendly eatery aiming to ""deliver a familiar and approachable product in exciting and unexpected ways."" Dog owners with a hankering for a plate of barbecue can head to one of The Blue Duck's six outdoor tables to enjoy their meal while their canine lounges underfoot. The Tavern's menu includes house-smoked meats in appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and rice bowls. It also serves draft beers from regional microbreweries, wines, whiskeys, and more.       Wonderful Service And Great Food.

      Big bowl of ice water for Pippin. Can’t make a bad choice. Choose the Mexican Corn Salad though.

      Fantastic food! Great location! Wonderful place to bring your dog and enjoy a beautiful evening for dinner, or lunch after visiting the Riverfront Market.

      they love dogs!!

      They were great! Immediately brought out a water bowl for our puppy, and staff went out of their way to acknowledge him! Great dining experience!!

      Great for Saturday summer brunch

      The only reason I hesitate to write this review is because I'm selfish and want to maintain availability for my boyfriend and I to easily get a table!!
      Blue Duck is right on the riverfront and during the summer features a nice little dine-out patio and brunch. It's our summer Saturday go-to. They are also very conveniently located right next to the Riverfront Farmer's market. My boyfriend and I love to take the dogs to the market with us for a nice walk around and then have brunch at Blue Duck. They'll bring out a water bowl and there isn't a dog in existence that doesn't want to share a little of your brisket, I assure you. The food here is fabulous, we have loved everything we have tried. Current favorite is the brisket tacos - they're so good, it's hard to try to order something else so you can try new things. We have a menagerie of young and old dogs (current count 5) and we bring a collapsible wagon for the old ones who can't walk the whole market (and to stash our purchases) and Blue Duck has easily been able to accommodate our posse and their 'ride. ;) Looking forward to more brunchin' with the dogs this summer. Blue Duck - if you're reading this, my only recommendation would be to supply yourselves with a dozen or so water bowls so your staff doesn't have to use your cambros!
