    Loved it

Traveling through and found this on BringFido so we stopped. Very dog friendly, immediately brought a bowl of water to the table. Food and beer were phenomenal! Waitress was the best. Definitely will stop here every time we travel through Hickory!

    Great Place!

We stopped here on our way back to Florida after a ski trip to Sugar and Beech Mountains. It has a new name! Blowing Rock Brewery! Super nice manager and waitress (Jessica?)...cold day so didn’t have the outdoor tables set up but manager quickly got us set up including a heat lamp! Great service and good food! The homemade chips were especially delicious! Fresh water for our pug. Highly recommend.

    Awesome food, friendly staff!

Searching for a place to eat on the way home from the mountains and saw the first review. Fabulous place! Very friendly staff, water bowls out and staff was quick to refresh water. Burger and hummus plates were delicious! Loved this place!

American Honor Ale Honored Our Pets

On our way home to Chapel Hill, NC from Spruce Pine, NC, we stopped in Hickory, NC, determined to avoid the fast food jungle. We came upon American Honor Ale House. It was a Sunday, early afternoon. They had 3 tables with dogs. One table had two large dogs; their owners did little to control their dogs behavior. We had our two dogs, American Cocker Spaniels. The third table had a Corgi. They treated all of us well. The only problem was that they did not bring water for any of the dogs on a truly hot summer day. Easy to remedy that issue. I am confident that they want more of us wandering in further from the highway exit so water bowls will soon be at the ready.
