    With views of the Lake Pontchartrain, The Barley Oak offers a cozy porch and five dog-friendly tables. They provide a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and other bar fare. The true focus for The Barley Oak, however, is their wide selection of beer with over forty beers on tap, over fifty cans, and more than a dozen bottles. Happy hour is served Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. The Barley Oak is open Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 12:00am, Friday through Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00am, and Sunday from 11:00am to 12:00am. Visit Website

      Afternoon Date

      My date and I brought our two dogs for an afternoon visit after the park. Many dogs visited, the staff and patrons were super friendly to us. My boy had a great time. Date did not turn into anything worthwhile, but I will definitely be back to visit.

      Many Beer Choices and Many Dogs

      We went here twice while camping at Fontainebleau state park - if you are a bike rider, this brewery is about 5 miles away on the Tammany Trace bike trail. We left our pooch at home but made a new furry friend and there were many dogs welcome there. Lots of beer choices and the pretzel and cheese was really good. Would go back! Oh and $1 cans of Pabst on happy hour took us back to our youth :)

      Dog Lovin'

      I took my dog, sat downstairs, had a great brisket sandwich, then took the dog for a walk on the lakefront. I highly recommend Barley Oaks.
