The Lone Buffalo by Tangled Roots Brewing Company is a dog-friendly place to grab a plate of food and a craft beer in a comfortable atmosphere. Guests wanting to indulge in The Lone Buffalo's self-proclaimed ""slow food"" can savor at one of its outdoor tables alongside Fido. Its menu includes a range of appetizers from Bison Chili to Pulled Pork Cheese Fries to Rotating Hummus. It also includes salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, and fish, pasta, chicken, and vegetarian entrees, as well as desserts. Brunch is served on Sundays from 10am to 2pm. Frequent visitors recommend ordering the Shrimp Tacos or the Meatball Sub. Perfect spot for my Husky and me
After a visit to Starved Rock, my dog and I had dinner at The Lone Buffalo. A perfect pick for these reasons: 1) location is great, down the street from the Lincoln/Douglass fountain and across from movie house. Plenty of parking 2) Spacious outdoor seating along the sidewalk 3) food (for me) was tasty -- veggie burger and fries.. 4) food (for my dog) was a winner -- I ordered pork sliders and mixed the meat with his dog food. He loved it.. 5) Mostly, this place is super dog friendly -- they brought a bowl of water and homemade dog biscuits. Plus, the staff, hostess, and manager all genuinely like dogs! Definitely worth a visit!

Great food and beer - dogs welcome!
Great food and beer selections. We were camping and hiking at Starved Rock and needed a place to eat after running some errands. We travel with our dog everywhere. We were glad to find this place. We’ll be back for sure.

Dog friendly at the outside tables
Dogs are allowed at the many outside tables on the sidewalk. Staff is happy to seat with the dog. Human food and beer are pretty good; maybe not a destination, but a pleasant meal when I'm in the area.
