    Great Food And Patio!

Dogs are allowed on their patio. While their patio is small and not covered, they make you and your pet feel right at home by bringing them water and pets.

Hayden’s summer food tour series – entry #2

Last night we went to Koopers in Jacksonville. We hadn’t chosen it as a dog-friendly option but prior to setting out to meet may parent, we checked BringFido.com and saw that it was listed as dog-friendly. I called to verify and sure enough it is. Not surprising since their logo and mascot is a yellow lab named Kooper. They have an awesome patio space tucked between the restaurant and the shopping center featuring about a dozen tables, a lot of shade, and even big-screen TVs for catching tonight’s game. This mostly-pub-menu venue features locally sourced fare and quite a wide variety of drink options including local craft brews. I had the salmon sandwich and sweet potato fries (they were a bit cold and wrinkled, but Hayden LOVES sweet potato fries so no foul there). Mom had the chicken tenders which were four huge pieces of hand-cut and breaded pure chicken breast. Kevin & Dad had the B.Y.O.B.; build your own burgers, featuring Creekstone Farms beef from up Cecil. They also feature Prigle’s Family ice cream. I indulged in a bowl of strawberry which was evidently farm-made as it was the color of vanilla; no artificial coloring here! Hayden enjoyed the bowl of ice water and Milkbone the host delivered to us immediately upon being seated, especially since he had a great run about the park down the street before coming to the restaurant. We will definitely go here again.
