  Great for Dogs

  Black Bear is very dog-friendly. Servers are quite kind: very quick to bring dog bowls, and in our case also brought a pitcher of ice-water so that we could continue to refill. The server was also quick to share that they offer a $2 “doggie burger”, a decent bunless burger that our pooch enjoyed.

  As for the “people food”, it was “adequate”. Nothing special, but not terrible either. Considering the dwindling number of pet-friendly establishments on the lake, Black Bear worked well for us.

  Good lunch spot!

  Patio appropriate for dogs, decent burger and bar food. nothing fancy but easy with pups so we appreciated it!!

  Tables on deck had large umbrellas that helped cover us from the rain. When I was ordering food for the dogs the server was nice enough to tell me about the $2 dog size burger that was not on the menu. Dogs' burgers looked really good and tasty and sweet tea was good. The rest of our food was mediocre. Sauces like ketchup, ranch & bleu cheese tasted watered down. Husband got wings, I got grilled chicken wrap that tasted burnt. The restaurant was in a valley with a mountain on one side and lake on the other.
