      Get the chowder

      It’s unassuming from the road but they seem to have a booming business. In the early Spring, it was easy enough to find parking and seating. There are picnic tables overlooking the salt marsh. We ordered the fried clam strip plate and a bowl of seafood chowder. The fried food was ok, needed some salt or lemon, but the chowder was amazing. Our bowl had two full size scallops, two full shrimp and a bunch of other seafood - it’s a brothy style. Lunch for two cost $40, as we shared one plate and soup. We had a soda and seltzer. They do sell booze, but only for inside. Hot tip - they’re cash only. There is an ATM inside.

      beautiful spot

      Beautiful spot on a salt marsh. Good clam shack food. Delicious homemade onion rings. There are quite a few outdoor tables that are dog friendly and a nature conservancy within walking distance for an after-lunch stroll.
