  Great View and Great Food!

  Wave St. Cafe is lovely and definitely dog friendly, so I don't know why that one negative reviewer had a bad experience. There is a communal water bowl right next to the host station, so I immediately knew this place was dog friendly, and your waiter will bring you more water if you ask. I ordered a side ham steak for my pup. She loved it, and no one seemed bothered by it at all. The patio is a lovely place to sit while looking out over the bay and enjoying a delicious meal. It is surrounded by beautiful potted plants and covered by a shady pergola, so it's a nice Mediterranean vibe with the bay view and scrumptious eats. The Eggs Benedict are divine. I'll definitely be going back the next time I visit Monterey!

  Great friendly location with amazing food and great views of the Monterey bay.

  I ate here twice on my last visit to Monterey. I found this gem on a trip before, but did not know they were dog friendly. I was very pleased to learn on my last visit that Wave st. Cafe is dog friendly. My pup was happy to enjoy being on the patio with me, the servers loved on him, and all of the customers were happy and smiling to see us.
  If you are traveling with your puppy best buddy in the Monterey area, please check out Wave st. Cafe. You will be happy with the food choice and how comfortable your dogo will be made to feel.

  Horrible customer treatment.

  I tried to order a sandwich to go.
  A customer threw a fit at my cute little dog’s presence and the hostess was very rude. I will never go back.

  Great dog friendly seating!

  I love that the patio (dog friendly space) has an ocean view and heaters (though the heaters do not reach all the tables). Fantastic ambiance and on occasion they have live music. Service is reliably good and the food is above average (nothing too special). I've only ever been there for breakfast/brunch, and think it's a great place to enjoy brunch with your dog on a nice day. Parking can be a challenge/not free and during summer (high tourist season) you will likely have to wait a while unless you go early.
