  Fun Place but Lots of Kids

  The patio area is large and dog friendly. Staff were very welcoming to the dogs. Pizza was excellent and we got a side of chicken pieces to share with the pups. Two things that we didn’t like: 1) The seats of the picnic tables are very low and not comfortable to sit at for very long; 2) Haymarket is very family friendly which is great for business, but we had kids swarming our dogs trying to pet them constantly. It started making the dogs and us nervous. Not the business’s fault at all but just wanted to caution others that are looking to relax with their dogs.

  Cozy beer garden, super dog friendly!

  We stopped for lunch here with our 2 kids and pup and sat outside in their dog friendly beer garden. The food and beer were delicious and they even have outdoor games like bags for entertainment. Plenty of green space all around as well to take the dogs for a stroll. We will be back!

  Pup Friendly Patio

  My pups & I enjoyed a post hike stop - great atmosphere & staff super friendly. Small menu but the pizza was tasty & nice variety of beer. We’ll be back again.

  This place had a great atmosphere for both children and dogs! Very pleased with the accommodations and area.

  Disappointing

  Very odd place. Both of our dinners were Wrong, the girl who took our order was rude as all get out. Food was meh at best and all came out at different times. It’s a shame because it’s a really cute place. It should be so much better.

  Awesome Place!

  This was a fun find on our way out (unfortunately). There’s a big open area where you can sit outside and chill with the dogs. Staff and food were great. They have outdoor games like checkers and cornhole.

  Super Dog (and Kid) Friendly!

  We were heading to Chicago and wanted to stop for dinner along the way, we decided to used this app for the first time and I’m so glad we did! Usually we would have to eat in the car if we had our dog with us. This place has a large patio with picnic tables and a large green area where you can walk your dog or kids can run around. They mostly have beers and pizza on the menu and for us it was great! We got a pretzel with gouda, a side salad and a pepperoni/sausage pizza and it hit the spot! There were about five other dogs there and everyone was super friendly! The parking lot was also next to more green space where you can walk tour dog.

  Best Place For Dogs!

  This is the perfect place for dogs. Tons of space outdoors, very accommodating staff, plenty of room for multiple dogs. Good food, good beer, great space!

  Great Doggie Spot!

  Highly recommend. We are from out of town and really wanted to find a dog-friendly spot. This was it. Great food and beer and everyone loves the dogs!!!!

  Great Place!

  We went to Haymarket and sat on the patio with our dog. The patio is between the restaurant/taproom and a large lawn area with some more seating which means there is plenty of room for you and your dogs. If you need to walk your dog, there is a good sized area for that beyond the lawn. Good food and great beers. We will be back.

  Perfect for dog and beer lovers

  The staff was delightful; the pizza and beer world class. Best of all, the many nice people gave our dogs lots ofskretches and pets. We'll be back.

  Fantastic patio for dogs!

  First off, the name of this restaurant is HAYMARKET TAPROOM (not haymaker!). I normally visit Haymarket with my dog once or twice per week! They have a great patio that is 100% dog friendly, and one of the servers will more than likely ask if you want a bowl of water for your dog. The service and the people who visit there are all very friendly, and it’s one of the best places to bring your dog and enjoy a really good pizza and some great beer—-16 on tap, and you can buy a six pack to go if you’d like! I love the Elote Pizza and the Potato and Bacon Pizza....and the dessert pizzas are always a nice addition, if you have someone with you to share it with!

  for beer and dog lovers

  This is a lovely place to sit back and relax...fur covered or not. It has a lovely large beer garden with umbrellas on those hot days. Bags for the human visitors. Water bowls for the furry visitors. Delicious food and beer. Awesome!!
