Perfect Late Lunch on the Deck

Not too busy for a summer Friday afternoon so we were able to grab a spot on the deck. Great drinks and appetizers. Our server Skyler brought Cooper a fresh bowl of water. Fantastic way to spend a sunny Michigan upper peninsula afternoon.

Was ok- but they don’t always let dogs in

We arrived about 4 o’clock to get an early dinner we were allowed to bring our dog on the lower deck outside patio. While we were leaving we were informed by two other guest that their dogs were not allowed into the restaurant because “ Bringing in dogs is getting out of hand and we’re not allowing it anymore”. The two puppy guests were denied entry so be very cautious if you were banking on bringing your pups to dinner !!!!

The male manager sometimes had an attitude with certain guests that I personally observed- so unknown if he was just having a moody day?! i don’t know. but puppy friendly establishment isn’t a priority!!!! there was a couple patio seating areas in town - may be worth a call to see if they allow and avoid this one if you’re hungry !

    Sometimes allow dogs

we called before heading there and we were told yes we could bring our dog but they had to be on a leash and if there was excessive barking we’d have to leave. no problem I understood completely
when we arrive, the gentleman who appeared to be the mgr told us they don’t usually allow dogs during dinner. I explained to him I had just called 5 min prior. after some conversation back and forth we were allowed to stay with our dog. he wasn’t rude, but just be warned you may run into the same situation depending on the time of day

    CHECKEDSo disappointed

We called ahead and received specific instructions which we followed. Once there we confirmed with a bus person that we should sit anywhere outside that we wanted. We enjoyed the water and the luscious aromas, but after a half hour of waiting, I figured that we were doing something wrong. I inquired inside and was told that the kitchen had closed 4 minutes ago. I explained that we had done exactly as instructed, but she insisted that there was nothing she could do. When I asked politely if I could speak with the boss, she said that there wasn't one...he was not there. I honestly don't know if it was because of our well-behaved 18-lb pooch, or if it was us. We are two senior gay guys, and our bumper stickers did not match the others in the parking lot. Whatever the reason, best not risk this place.

    The BEST!!

Just had the best lunch out on the deck. We lucked out and got there early...had entire lower deck to ourselves and our 2 pups. Friendly staff, delicious food, huge beer list, and AMAZING VIEWS. We could see Canada wind farms, Osprey
