The Fat Mermaid
The Fat Mermaid has several dog-friendly tables outside. This American restaurant, with nice views of an epic mountainous landscape at the back, is a great place to wander to with Fido. The menu is made up of an array of dishes from seafood, to vegan dishes, to sandwiches, to pizza all made in house. One of the most popular items is the Fat Mermaid Burger, topped with cheese, bacon, sausage, Canadian Bacon, and pepperoni. If you're looking for something a little healthier, you could try the nutty tacos made with walnuts, soaked, ground and seasoned, wrapped in a romaine leaf with cilantro, avocado, and freshly made Pico de gallo.

We brought our dog to the outdoor patio, right along the Valdez harbor. The smoked salmon pizza was phenomenal. and they have a sizable menu to choose from.
