    The founders of Mellow Mushroom opened their first restaurant because they saw pizza baking as an art form and wanted to offer other people the chance to enjoy their art. Mellow Mushroom in Oxford, AL has several pet-friendly tables outside, so you can bring Fido with you to enjoy a specialty pie, calzone, hoagie, or salad. One of their most popular pies is the Holy Shiitake Pie, an olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and Mont Amore, finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil.       Yummy pizza and cool patio

      I am allergic to milk and it was amazing to be able to have pizza as they have vegan cheese. The menu has something for everyone but is a little more expensive but nothing to outrageous. The patio is dog friendly of all sizes. It was easy with mine because she is 6lbs and was in a stroller. I would definitely recommend you try this place!

      Website Said open, IT WASN'T!

      Was craving pizza with my puppy. VERY DISSAPOINTED to find out after driving there when website stated it would open at 11 but it wasn't. Need to fix and update their website

      Welcoming

      We stopped for dinner with our two pups while on a trip from ATL to BHM. Kelsey welcomed us to the patio and gave us a pup menu ( ours ordered water and 2 meatballs). They graciously remade our pizza after an apple cart upset sent our first one to the floor. Can’t thank them enough! MM will always be our food stop in Anniston from now on!!
