Cheese Shop welcomes dogs to sit with their owners at a few of their outdoor tables! Established in 1972 the shop began importing cheeses and fine foods from all around the globe to barter in their beloved La Jolla. These days they've morphed into a unique sandwich shop with friendly and professional service. Their menu includes overstuffed sandwiches made with turkey, roast pork, lamb, smoked salmon, roast beef and more, served on a variety of different breads. Breakfast sandwiches and bagels are available if you're in a morning mood any time of the day. The hot sandwich selection consists of corned beef, pastrami and the classic Reuben. Soups, salads and other sides are also available to compliment your meal, as well as specialty coffees, teas, and freshly squeezed juices. The shop is open Monday through Sunday 8am to 4pm.
