mackys is very pet friendly. The waitress brought our dog a bucket of ice cold water as soon as we were seated. they have a great menu for dogs. being right on the bay with a beach area it makes it perfect for the dogs to play. Human food and drinks were good as well. Can’t beat their happy hour.

- JacquelineSep. 16, 2020Pet & People Friendly
This was the best pet friendly restaurant that we went to during our vacation! Teddy, my Shih-Poo puppy ordered all beef sliders off of the dog menu sling with water on the rocks & gobbled up his meal! The staff were friendly & very attentive! We had a fabulous lunch & awesome cocktails! The view of the water was terrific! We will definitely return!!!
- TimothySep. 14, 2020Dog Friendly
Macky's has a HUGE patio and is very welcoming to dogs. The staff is friendly and seem genuinely excited to meet every dog that comes through. They even have a canine menu if you want to get them a snack while you're out.
- KierstenJul. 3, 2020Puppy love

- StacySep. 12, 2019Fun Place!
We enjoyed a nice meal with the pup here. Make sure to plan your visit around sunset time, the view on the bayside is spectacular. We ordered our pup the chicken dish and he loved it. He enjoyed all the attention from staff and visitors. Very dog friendly!
- LisaAug. 11, 2019Great service!
So dog friendly. Buford enjoyed his sliders too! He also loved that customers were free to come greet him, with our permission, he really enjoyed the attention. The wait to be seated was miminal. Food was pricey but the food and atmosphere was totally worth it!
- AnnaAug. 8, 2019Great Lunch With Our Puppers
Super dog friendly restaurant. Immediately seated outside and server promptly brought over a water filled bucket for our dog. Mochi ordered the Bird Dog (grilled lean chicken breast) and she scarfed it down. Great visit and will visit again before we leave OCMD!
- LorenaJul. 7, 2019All Around Terrific!!
We love going to Macky’s. Beautiful bayside sand seating, great food and drinks and service, and super dog-friendly! They bring a big bucket of water, and have a nice doggie menu. Leo enjoyed the sliders.
- EricSep. 10, 2018Beautiful bayside beach setting!
We had a nice dinner with our dog, right by the water, under palm trees. The server brought us a bucket of water immediately, as well as, a $5 dog menu. Everyone was very attentive, including other servers who came over to say hello.
- MichaelSep. 1, 2018Great food. Incredibly dog friendly
The food was great. The staff was very dog friendly and our dog had the time of his life. He got a bucket of water and ice, an order of carrots and mandarin oranges, dug in the grand and played in the water. This place is a must for dog owners.
- MichaelAug. 28, 2018Great place for the pup
We got there early (5:15) and were very promptly seated. Our server was with us quickly, took our drink orders and returned with a tub of water for our pup (8 month old mixed black lab). Drinks were served, we ordered our food, including an entree from the dog menu. The pup got her order quickly and ours was not far behind. Food was good, perhaps a little pricey (but it is a resort) and the attention to the pup was appreciated. We will return. Compliments to our server - Courtney from Media, PA who couldn't have been better - she was prompt and patient with our pup, who is skittish around strangers.
- ValerieMore than a year agovery dog friendly & good food

Have been here many times, Very Dog Friendly. Our Dog loves all the attention he gets from the staff and other customers. Very relaxing atmostphere and great food.
- TinaMore than a year agoGreat place to eat, with or without your dogs!
We had a great time, sat about 15 feet from the water. Our malamute promptly dug a hole in the sand to lie in and his joined him. We had tacos while our dogs had the chicken. Love that they get their own menu!
- AmyMore than a year agoSuper Dog Friendly
Fabulous lunch! Can't say enough good things! The staff is super friendly! We brought our dog and sat on the beach...loved that they had a menu for our dog. She had the sliders (2 beef patties) and they brought a small bucket of water just for her! I had the rockfish sandwich and my husband had the burger both delicious! Definitely a staple every year!
- KellyMore than a year agoDoggie Heaven
I am very surprised that this restaurant only has 4 bones, they are extremely dog friendly. The dogs are allowed to sit with their owners either on the beach or in the one patio area. The dogs are also allowed on the bay line. The servers & manager/owner are very dog friendly. They have a very reasonable dog menu ($4 for most options) and they give doggie water.
The patrons are friendly, they have fun music & sometimes live music.Food is descent, drinks are great (I highly recommend the blueberry mule).
Such a great experience! I've been in here twice & both times were great. It is the closest that a dog will get to heaven on earth!
- MeghanMore than a year agoDoggie Delight
This restaurant has excellent food and drinks for humans. Along with this you can bring your dog and sit on the beach. They brought my puppy Phoebe a bucket of water. All the waitresses wanted to pet her and were friendly. They have a doggie menu and bring the food in a bowl with a biscuit. Very cute! Phoebe enjoyed her food and meeting other dogs.
- EdieMore than a year agoDog heaven on earth
This restaurant was extremely accommodating for our dog. Even had his own menu. The staff and owner were fantastic. Oh by the way the food was very good. Try the crab soup superb. Located right on the Bay with excellent views.
- Jim and PattiMore than a year agoShe loved it and so did we.
The staff immediately welcomed us and brought a bucket of cold water for Liesel our 185lb Great Dane. We were promptly seated and the hostess retrieved an umbrella to be sure Liesel had a shady spot. Very dog friendly right down to her own menu. Her chicken dinner was served in a stainless sell bowl with a Great Dane sized biscuit as garnish. Terrific food and view of the bay for us as well.
- Laura O.More than a year agoAt The Water's Edge
Their food and drinks were fabulous and the outdoor eating area can't be beat. We were there just after Labor Day, so no crowds despite the gorgeous weather, and we sat right at the water's edge for a fabulous meal.
- CraigMore than a year agoEven has a dog menu
Back again this year and Macky's is still a great place to eat with your dog. They now even have a dog menu: hot dog pieces, a hamburger patty, chicken breast or apples and carrots for $4. And, as always, they still bring a big bucket of water for your pup. Human food is great, too.
- ShannonMore than a year agofun and dog friendly
Great times. Loved the staff and all the dog friendly patrons.
- AndyMore than a year agovery dog friendly!
Dog can go out back and chill at your table in the sand with a great bayside view. Food is average and a little pricey but well worth it to bring the dig along
- StephanieMore than a year agopoor service and food
Although our dog got good attention by the staff our waitress kept forgetting things we ordered. Our good was not good at all but my pup seemed to enjoy the Healthy Hound from the dog menu.
- Janet and DaziMore than a year agoGreat atmosphere!
Had a great night out to dinner with my dog. The restaurant is extremely dog friendly. They let you sit at the outside tables on the sand with a great view of the Bay. They bring out a bucket of water for your dog and they have a $4 Dog menu of either hot dog, hamburger or chicken. Dazi had the chicken and loved it. Very friendly staff that pet and talk to the dogs. Saw several other dogs dining with their humans while we were there. Other customers enjoyed that dogs were allowed. It is a mainly seafood menu and the prices coincide so check the menu if you are a picky eater. Drinks were great. We highly recommend it if you like to hang with your pooch. We will definitely being going back and bringing some doggie friends!
- HeatherMore than a year agoLoved this place!
This place was just great! So dog friendly! They brought the dog out a bucket of water. They had a doggie menu should could order food from. Just great! I highly recommend it. Great view to sit outside and enjoy with a nice drink and good food. Highly recommend it.
- AmeliaMore than a year agoI wish Mackey's was in my home town!
Very dog friendly. Servers are super friendly and they bring a bucket of water for your dog. Dogs are allowed in the outside dining area or in a small deck area (still outside). Apparently someone complained and they now have stricter rules imposed by the health department about where dogs are allowed. If you want to watch a football or other sports game, you can see the TVs inside the bar area from the outside deck area if you have the right angle. I didn't think the food or drinks were pricey but I'm also used to Washington, DC prices. Typical bar/American type food.
- MarianneMore than a year agoVery Dog Friendly
The food was okay. We loved how dog friendly they were - they even had a dog menu and brought a bucket of water to the table for our dog.
- LeeMore than a year agoWhy Don't they open a hotel?
I loved this place, I loved the people, the service, the fruity drinks, and the burger was phenomenal!!! The dog was content and well behaved, he's a Great PYR, so they allow any dog as long as it's well trained!! I will be going back, and I'm not interested in any of the other dog friendly eateries... I choose mackys!!!!
- LizMore than a year agoLoved it
This was our first trip to OC, and also our first time vacationing with our young dog Buddy. We found Macky's through BringFido, and were so glad we did. We visited this place 5 times, and we were only in town for 7 days. They are the most pet friendly place we came across in the whole city! Not to mention, the restaurant itself is super cute and you feel like your in paradise, sitting on the sand with palm trees. The staff immediately brings water over to your dog, and treat them like they are a true guest. The owner and his wife log dogs, and even came around to meet all of the dogs in the restaurant. Dogs are allowed out back at the beach seating, as well as in the bar inside...it's so cute! Highly recommend, and we plan on going back next year.
- CraigMore than a year agoGreat for dinner with your dog
I'll leave it to Yelp and the other sites to critique the food and service, but Mackey's was more than happy to accommodate our dog. We had an out-of-the way table and had a great time - kids really seem tickled to see a dog at dinner. The sunset over the bay was an added bonus.
- JeanMore than a year agosuper dog friendly, slightly pricey
Easy to find, great location right on beach/bay, small private beach. We sat at table closest to water and between kids playing and wind blowing we got a lot of sand flung at us. Sit further away and im sure youll be fine! We had two salads and although they tasted good, we felt they were slightly overpriced for the portion we got. They had drink specials but are only good if u sit at the bar. Water free for the dog!
- AprilMore than a year agoMackeys was great!
Though they were packed and the drinks were a bit expensive, i loved being able to stick my feet in the sand while eating dinner, with my dog beside me.
