    Mellow Mushroom

    The founders of Mellow Mushroom opened their first restaurant because they saw pizza baking as an art form and wanted to offer other people the chance to enjoy their art. Mellow Mushroom on Anastasia Boulevard is home to dog-friendly tables outside, so you can bring Fido with you to enjoy a specialty pie, calzone, hoagie, or salad. One of their most popular pies is the Holy Shiitake Pie, an olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and Mont Amore, finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil.       Late night pizza

      We visited late at night because of the heat so we had the patio to ourselves. My husband is a big fan of Mellow Mushroom, they did have some local specials that looked interesting. Very pet friendly.

      Great restaurant

      White pizza and shiitake pizza were superb! Perfect blend of ingredients and excellent crust. Drinks were delicious. Our waiter Matt was excellent-- helpful, efficient and friendly--even brought our dog some water. Highly recommend this restaurant!

      Very Dog Friendly

      The food was wonderful! Fresh tasting pizza not greasy!! They welcomed our dog right through to the patio seating. It was a cooler evening but they had beat laps which made it very comfortable. Our dog Pax was given a large water bowl and greeted with many smiles!

      Weekend trip with The Pups

      My husband and I took a weekend trip to St. Augustine and brought out two Australian Shepherd puppies! We have a mellow mushroom by us and LOVE IT! They have a nice outside patio area and we were allowed to bring our pups! It was a great time!

      Good doggie patio

      First time at a Mellow Mushroom. You bring your pooch in they their front door and they escort you to the patio. They have water bowls for your pooch.

      For the food: mushroom soup was delicious. Wish the bowl was bigger! I ordered the Holy Shitake pizza and Jim ordered the Pacific Rim pizza. Quite yummy and we would come back if we lived in the area.
