Broadway Historic Tavern

Broadway Historic Tavern is home to four pet-friendly tables on the sidewalk. Established in 1834, Indiana's oldest hotel and tavern is one of the many pre-civil war buildings still standing in Madison. Fast forward to today, and the tavern boasts a food menu made up of dishes from around the world and a bar stocked with lots of beverages. One of the chef's specialties is the grilled Thai ahi tuna: sashimi-style yellowfin ahi tuna grilled rare and finished with an all natural Thai sauce and served with fresh seasonal mixed vegetables. Broadway Historic Tavern is open Monday through Thursday from 11am to 11pm, Friday to Saturday from 11am to 1am, and Sunday from 12pm to 9pm. Visit Website

Closed for renovations
just fyi the Tavern is closed for 4-6 weeks for renovations but no indication of dates. Maybe next time.

Historic place
We stopped here twice recently. The first time the service and food was amazing. The second time, the service and food just mediocre but BOTH times the dog LOVED it. Everyone both times was friendly and accommodating towards our FurBaby. He loved sitting out on a not as busy street under the large trees. Even with poor food the second time would definitely return.
