McAlister's Deli
McAlister's Deli is a dog-friendly restaurant in Vicksburg, MS where Fido can join you at an outdoor table. Please note that table service isn't available, so Fido will need to wait outside while you order inside. Their chefs are proud to serve food prepared with fresh ingredients made to order. The crafted sandwiches on the menu are the specialty of the kitchen. Meat eaters can indulge in the McAlister's Club, the King Club, horseradish roast beef and cheddar, garden fresh turkey, or the black cherry and ham sandwich. Vegetarians can indulge in their new veggie sandwich or the four cheese griller, a mom-made favorite prepared their way. If you like the sound of ginormous spuds, you can order one of their topped potatoes instead, like the black Angus roast beef spud.

It’s so hot and muggy that we got our food to go and ate in our air-conditioned motel room. The steak/cheese sandwich and the chicken-salad sandwich were very good, as was the potato salad and tea. There were lots of tables outside and there were a couple dogs there. The staff was very friendly. We would have stayed, but it’s too hot for our dog that hasn’t lost her winter coat yet.
