Located in Hancock Inn, the oldest inn in New Hampshire, the Fox Tavern is a historic and dog-friendly place to enjoy traditional and seasonal dishes for locals and tourists alike. Visitors to the Tavern can sit at one of its three outdoor tables to enjoy a meal alongside their canine. The Tavern states that dogs joining their owners for a meal must be well-behaved and leashed. The restaurant's menu includes dishes made up of local ingredients such as roast beef, pan-roasted fish, steaks, seasonal vegetables, burgers, roasted shallots, fish and chips, mac and cheese, chicken pot pie, and its signature Shaker Cranberry Pot Roast. On Sunday, the regular menu is not served, however, the Tavern offers the Innkeepers' Supper from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, featuring a single, home-cooked meal for a fixed price.
