    Great dogs poorly

The only good review on this place just talks about the food. The food is great, but the staff is inhospitable to dogs. We called ahead of time, asked if it was OK to bring the dog to the patio and they agreed. When we arrived, we sat down with the dog lying under the table. I went to the bathroom and heard the manager complaining to the staff already that there was a dog here and that we better keep that dog behaved. It’s a dog, it might bark, it’ll try to sniff around. Why would they accept if they were going to be A holes about it? Manager was also wearing sweatpants so overall and unprofessional and inhospitable experience. Avoid it with the pooch.

    Authentic

Simply speaking, the bet, most authentic Greek food in NJ. If you want better, you need to go to Astoria. BYOB. Everything is very fresh, but the portions aren't huge and some items can be priced a little upscale, but if you want the best, it's worth it.

    Terrible

I have to agree with Daisy on this. I was the person who got smacked in the back with the wicker chair as they went by. They were running (literally) by us and seemed disorganized. It just seemed that the patio entrance became the main thoroughfare to and from the place. Daisy did not mention that while we were there they also had the fire alarm go off. Then it became more crazy because they came out to tell us- we did not have to evacuate it was the smoke from the grill that set it off. Then a few minutes later we had the fire department there. This just was not a dog friendly place and I was ready to explode on the staff. If we had not driven to meet some friends in this area we would have left. The place sounded great, but when you get there- you have to park on the street. One of our people we met had to park 2 streets down and around the corner. The parking lot they had 8 cars in it and it was all staff. It seems that the parking lot should be used for customers and not staff. Then being told by waitress that the dogs cannot use their bowls seemed very UNFRIENDLY. We had our own bowls with us. We even had water with us, but we were trying to get cold fresh water since it was 80 degrees out and their water had gotten warm. WE WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

    Crowded

This is not a very good place to bring your dogs. They put the tables so close to each other that there just was not room. Heck there was barely room for us to fit in. It was claustrophobic. Then they kept using the outside area to run errands, so you would be eating and a staff person would run by to their car to grab stuff. Someone carried a wicker chair through that way and bumped us and the dogs. We asked for water for the dogs and waitress said, "I can bring out a cup, but you will have to use your own water dish for them" I will admit I was very surprised by that because when I had called to verify about bringing dogs the person who answered said, "yes dogs are welcome on our patio" and raved about the dog park we were going to. You see we were coming up from South Jersey and a friend was coming down from New York. This sounded like the pawfect meet up place for us. WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.
