Serving shots and beer on Pittsburgh's North Shore since 1933, The Modern Cafe also provides dog-friendly tables upon request. You and Fido can share something from the Munchies section of the menu, including the Mediterranean layered dip: hummus, diced tomatoes, kalamata olives, and cucumbers topped with feta cheese, served with warm pita chips. If you're a vegetarian, you may want to try the grilled veggie hoagie, stuffed with grilled onions, red and green peppers, mushrooms, and provolone cheese on ciabatta. The Modern Cafe is open Monday from 11:00am to 12:00am, Tuesday through Friday from 11:00am to 1:30am and Saturday from 4:00pm to 1:30am.
