Great place with a great view!

The outdoor deck is very dog friendly and the wait staff even bring out a bowl of ice cold water for them! Highly recommend!

    Awesome

Very dog friendly, we visited on a weekday around 12:30 in the afternoon. We were seated on the back porch, it was a bit chilly but they have heaters and our waitress,Nicole , adjusted the heaters so that we were warm and toasty. She brought over a bowl of water for our dog immediately. We saw one other dog on the deck. The food and drinks were great! I had the hot lobster roll which was delicious. Considering we are in a pandemic, the wait staff was lovely, we didn’t feel rushed, and we were treated very well

Trust me, bring yourself AND Fido! They are dog friendly!

When I planned our vacation in Mystic I looked up dog friendly establishments and Dog Watch Cafe was listed but they had 1 bad review. All I can say is that we had a wonderful experience. I called and made a reservation. I told them that we were coming with a dog in a dog stroller that we were able to zip closed if they wanted us to. They were completely fine with it. When we arrived, were welcomed in, everyone was friendly, we sat on the deck in back by the water with a great view and my dog was able to sit in her stroller with the top open. The chef accommodated her request for surf and turf (a plain burger pattie and 3 grilled shrimp). Some patrons took pics of my dog. All of the servers were friendly to us and to Gidget the Boston Terrier. Everyone said she was cute. The humans that brought accompanied Gidget also enjoyed the food very much. It was all delicious. Our meal was fantastic! We split a crabcake, I had the seared tuna over Asian noodles and my husband had the Stonington scallops. We also had key lime pie and coffee. I have to say that had I gone by the 1 review that I saw, I might have skipped this place. I'm glad we ignored the review because this place is a great find. And from what I could see and by how we all were treated, they are dog friendly, they do love dogs, they care about giving great service and their food is fantastic. I am giving 5 Bones but if it was possible I'd give them 10 Bones. Check it out for yourself. We will definitely return with or without our dog.

    NOT DOG FRIENDLY

Their outdoor bar area accepts animals in their presence but there are no water options for the pups.

Their restaurant, while boasting is dog friendly on their patio/porch is NOT.
I asked on facebook messenger the morning of as well as called ahead an hour before we were leaving to get there to ensure that they were indeed dog friendly on their porch.
Upon arrival I was informed the porch was NOT dog friendly. I would need to tie my dog up away from me if I wanted to enjoy their food or step foot on their porch.
This is incredibly misleading especially considering that I have a WRITTEN response in my messenger specifically stating
    "Is your porch dog friendly?"
"Of Course. As long as he/she is well-behaved they are welcome!"

Disappointing, misleading, and frankly rude. Tying my dog up in another location is NOT dog friendly. I can do that at any restaurant in the world as long as no one steals him first.
