    Foragers Canteen, located in Dillsboro, NC, is a casual eatery that serves up a variety of tasty, farm-to-table grub. Fido is welcome to join you at one of their pet-friendly outdoor tables while you enjoy your meal. Start off with an order of the Crispy Cluckin' Chips - crispy chicken skin with salt, pepper, and sumac, served with pimento cheese sauce. Next, chow down on the Coastal Car Hopper Taco with grilled or fried wild Mahi Mahi, pineapple slaw, lime crema, cilantro, and cheddar cheese. Or go for the Back Porch Burger topped with house-made pimento cheese, house-peppered bacon, a fried green tomato, and bibb lettuce on a house brioche bun.       Best food, dogs love them

      We eat here all the time. The food is exceptional!!! The dog loves the attention and he’s always offered water. They will also (maybe not always) seat you inside during bad weather! We love the Forager!!!!

      Excellent food & dog friendly…best of both worlds

      The food here is truly impressive. Fresh ingredients and wonderful mix of flavors. We had the goat cheese salad, the pimento grilled cheese (with bacon and a fried green tomato!) with brussel sprouts, and the steak tip tacos with crispy potatoes. Everything was delicious and so were the margaritas! It was easy to find and outdoor table (with umbrella) to accommodate us and our dog, and they brought him out his own bowl of water. Great experience all around!

      Great Location, Great Food

      This was a great find. The food was amazing and it was great for our dog. Large outdoor, umbrella seating with water bowls for the dogs. A must try.
