    Cacique, located in Frederick, MD, is a casual Mexican-style eatery that serves up a variety of fine cuisine. Fido is welcome to join you at one of their pet-friendly outdoor tables while you enjoy your meal. Start off with an order of the Ceviche Mixto with fresh tilapia, shrimp, scallops, and squid marinated in fresh lime juice with red onions, cilantro, celery, garlic, ginger, and jalapenos. Next, chow down on the Roasted Duck topped with green olives sauteed with red wine and brown sauce, served with fresh steamed veggies. Or go for the Aztec Plattered with one cheese chile relleno, one beef crispy taco, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce, Mexican rice, and refried beans.       Great tapas restaurant

      Cacique has a terrific tapas menu. The outdoor seating area is very small on the sidewalk of this downtown restaurant. But excellent service, friendly wait staff, and dog water bowls. Our waiter was from Texas A&M and shared stories of Reveille their collie mascot (we have a collie). Very fun conversation. Outdoor space is cramped and a bit noisy with the main street traffic. But it was such a fun visit, and the food is excellent.
