  Beautiful view, good food

  Covered deck with ceiling fans plus being right there on the water even for a 93 degree day it felt nice. Food was surprisingly good since you order from a window and pick up your food that is paper plates. Husband had soft shell crab, I had pulled pork with grilled summer veggies on the side. A special for the season was fried green tomatoes which were excellent served with a remoulade sauce. Doggies got hotdogs. Hush puppies came with our food and a side of sweet butter, all was good and very reasonably priced.

  Surprisingly good casual food

  On a very busy weekend, we could not get an outdoor seat at the Tidewater with our dog, so we drove down to the Promenade. It just looked like a burger joint in the parking lot, but it was surprisingly good and a varied menu. There is plenty of outdoor seating under the patio roof for us and our dog with a bit of a water view. It is right at the entrance to the town’s Promenade walk on the water, but dogs are not allowed on the Promenade (only service dogs). Bummer!
