Delicious beignets and great NOLA coffee. The place was busy. I asked if I could sit in the outdoor patio with my dog and was told I could pick any available table. I asked for a cup of water for my dog when I ordered and the waitress pleasantly said sure. My dog was a little nervous with it being so crowded and the loud music from the numerous bands playing on the street.

while their coffee and beignets are amazing, my dog had to stay tied up to the fence on the outside of the outdoor seating. not very pet friendly!

Still would recommend going, but just “ok” for dogs. The beignets and hot chocolate are delicious and everyone knows it!! Lol!! Very long line to get in, but it moves fast. Outdoor seating area is tight and crowded, so your dog doesn’t have much space. It was a foggy, dreary day when we went, but not raining. Strange that the floor of the covered seating area was absolutely drenched and filthy…and so was our Aussie! Nonetheless, we’d still go again!!

Lovely shaded dog friendly patio. I’m not the biggest fan of beignets in a while but, these were the best I had in New Orleans.
Fast line (dogs not allowed inside though) & plenty of tables outside. Was pleasantly surprised with music of a saxophonist too - DonnaApr 13, 2022Busy place
I picked up coffee and beignets from the outside window (how it’s working with Covid). No one questioned the dog being at the table, except to tell me that he was cute. He’s quiet and we’ll behaved. It was very busy and I think the dog would have enjoyed a quieter spot more. But it was the quintessential New Orleans experience

Dogs aren't allowed inside anywhere, but, they have a fast-service to-go window (bring cash!) where you can order anything to go. I got some food and coffee and sat with my pup on the benches to the side, no problem. There was someone doing karaoke in the street, so that was entertaining. Food and coffee were good, staff wasn't very friendly, but they're a busy, popular spot.

best beignets in the French quarter. However, they are not exactly pet friendly. they will let you’re dog sit outside of their patio fence, while you sit inside at a table

There’s mixed reviews about dogs in cafe du monde. I would guess that maybe the crowded seating is why some visitors have reported getting turned away. I went at 8:30 am and there was several dogs. the tables are spaced out now and there’s a tropical storm in the gulf so it was really slow. but there was no problem bringing my dog with me.

Whoever left the 5 bones review must have eaten somewhere else. Not only do they not allow dog they were extremely rude about it and said they only way we could eat with our dog was to sit by the rail and tie her outside.
Go down the street to Cafe Mespero. Sit inside with your dog and enjoy a great meal. That’s where we ended up.

We visited on a rainy day. The patio walls were down to keep everyone dry and our puppy was welcome to eat with us.
